ISLAMABAD (PR): The Federal ombudsman has directed to set up Skype System for early resolution of public complaints in all 116 Embassies and Missions of Pakistan abroad.

Hafiz Ahsaan Ahmad Khokhar Grievance Commissioner for overseas Pakistanis in a statement issued here said that Foreign Office has been suggested to issue instructions to all focal persons appointed in 116 Foreign Missions of Pakistan and to all community welfare attaches posted abroad. They have been directed to develop and set up their Skype addresses on Gmail or Yahoo for hearing of public complaints and systemic problems of overseas Pakistanis and for their early resolution and to submit compliance report to federal ombudsman secretariat by December 12.

Khokhar said that with the use of modern technology, public complaints would be heard simultaneously in embassies and in federal ombudsman office Pakistan which resultantly would address the grievances of overseas Pakistanis in shortest possible time from all over the world.

He said through use of Skype overseas Pakistanis would be able to directly interact with federal ombudsman office with government officials and at the same time would improve the coordination among different government departments for early resolution of public complaints.

Khokhar said that Skype meetings are now being regularly conducted with Pakistani community around the world and cognizance has been taken on their individual and systemic issues and notices are being issued to federal government departments for their resolution.

He said number of issues of Pakistani community living in Germany, USA, Canada, Spain, Italy, France, Malaysia, Saudi Arabia, Iraq, UAE , Holland , Denmark ,Brazil , Senegal and many other countries have been redressed in federal ombudsman office which were filed against Nadra, Police Bureau, Ministries of interior and foreign affairs, PIA and Passports departments.

Khokhar said that more than 80000 thousand complaints of overseas Pakistanis have been redressed in federal ombudsman in a short time which is a matter of satisfaction.

He also appreciated the efforts of government departments and Pakistani Missions in dealing with overseas matters for their quick response. He said that measures taken under the guidance of Salman Faroqui federal ombudsman Pakistan regarding resolution of public grievances has increased the confidence of public.
