The blood of Abdul Quader Molla could lead to an Islamic revolution in Bangladesh

The line now drawn from the blood of Abdul Quader Molla divided Bangladesh into Islamic vs Hasina led secularists.

By SYED JAWED ANWAR

SHAIKH Hasina, Prime Minister of Bangladesh, daughter of Sheikh Mujib, executed her political opponent Abdul Quader Molla. (Note: Molla is a part of his name not the religious or scholarly title “Mullah.”) He was Assistant Secretary of Jamaat Islami Bangladesh.  The execution was on the Islamic blessed Friday night (middle of Thursday and Friday) December 12. Mr. Molla sacrificed his life for standing firmly for Muslim unity, Islam and Islamic brotherhood. It is a political/government-sponsored judicial murder. Sheikh Hasina’s hands are wet with Molla’s fresh blood.

Sheikh Hasina recently appointed herself law minister and home minister to murder Abdul Quader Molla. She got full authority, influenced, advised, pressurized the court and became the final decision maker to silence the opposition leaders and parties.

She has been accused of manipulating the electoral process that is going to be held January 5 to establish a one-party state. The announcement of elections coincided with the arrest of six prominent opposition leaders. Sheikh Hasina considers Jamaat Islami Bangladesh the biggest threat to her Awamy League in the coming election. The government barred Jamaat Islami from participating in the January election.

Abdul Quader Molla’s judicial murder has been framed for involving him in the event in 1971 that led to broken Eastern part of Pakistan (geographically not connected with West Pakistan). Abdul Quader Molla and his Jamaat stood firmly for united “Islamic Pakistan” on the basis of  the unity of Islam, “Laa Ilaha Illallah and Muhammad ur Rasool Allah  (There is no deity except Allah, and Muhammad is a Messenger of Allah). Jamaat Islami and its students wing Islamic Jamiat e Tulba sacrificed 10,000+ lives to save Pakistan and the people from Indian sponsored armed supported secular nationalist gangs.

Muslims of Bengal had played a crucial and leading role in forming an “Islamic state” in British India. Indian Muslim League who led the formation of Pakistan was established in Bengal (Eastern province in British India). It was founded at the All India Muhammadan Educational Conference at Dhaka (now the capital of Bangladesh), in 1906, in the midst of the protests over the Partition of Bengal in 1905 (Muslim and Hindu Bengal). The goal of Indian Muslim League was to define and advance Muslim agendas and protect the religion, language (Urdu), civilization and culture of Muslims in India. The Muslims of Bengal had a long history of sacrifice for Islam and love of Prophet Muhammad (s.a.w.).

Indira Gandhi (Indian Prime Minister), Sheikh Mujib (President Awami League who won the largest number of seats in 1970 election), Zulfiqar Ali Butto (President of Pakistan People’s party who won maximum number of seats in West Pakistan in 1970 election), and Pakistan Army led by Gen. Ayub Khan and then Gen. Yahya Khan played a front line role in the international conspiracy (India, Israel, UK & US) of dismembering “Islamic Pakistan” that was created and united only on the basis of faith (not geography, not language, not color and not culture), popularly known as “two nation theory”(on the basis of faith).

Pakistan government had established a commission chaired by Hamoodur Rehman named “Hamoodur Rahman Commission” in 1972 to find the cause of fall of Dacca. The judicial commission reports on the history of Pakistan’s political–military assessed involvement in East-Pakistan from 1947 to 1971.Constituted “to prepare a full and complete account of the circumstances surrounding the atrocities and 1971 war,” including the “circumstances in which the commander of the Pakistan’s Eastern High Command, surrendered the Eastern contingent forces under his command laid down their arms.” Its primary conclusion was very critical of the role of Pakistan’s military interference and misconduct of politicians as well as intelligence failure of the Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) and the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) permitted the infiltration of Indian agents all along the borders of East Pakistan.

Originally, there were 12 copies of the report. These were all destroyed, except the one that was handed over to Government who disallowed its publication at the time. In 2000, parts of the commission report were leaked equally to Indian and Pakistani newspapers, Dawn, in its editorial section. The full report was declassified by the government in 2000, with additional reports concerning the year of 1971. Several ex-Army officials revealed later that dismemberment of Pakistan and formation of Bangladesh was decided at GHQ Rawalpindi in the “obedience” of the army’s “international masters.”

General Tikka Khan was sent to East Pakistan, popularly known as “butcher” of Bengal, previously known as butcher of Baluchistan. However, Bengali nationalists magnified and exaggerated the Pak Army’s crimes in unprecedented numbers. The count of thousands became hundreds of thousands and with the time it crossed to 20 to 30 million. It is a complete fabricated data cooked in Awamy League’s kitchen.

However, when India attacked East Pakistan on December 3, 1971, Pakistan army already lost the moral ground. Failing to accept the mandate of East Pakistan in forming government in Islamabad according to democratic principal; Awamy League won 167 of 169 seats in East Pakistan and secured a simple majority in the 313-seat lower house of the Majlis-e-Shoora (Parliament of Pakistan), the establishment of Pakistan had no legal and moral ground to rule East Pakistan.  Furthermore, Pakistan made “history” in Islam by surrendering with 93,000 armed forces including paramilitary personnel in just 13 days. Muslim Army in any part of world and any era of history never surrendered like this and faced similar humiliating defeat.  It is also considered to be one of the shortest wars in history. Pakistan Army chief, General Yahya Khan was also the President, the ruler and chief martial law administrator of the time. It was reported that he was drunk in his Presidential castle in Islamabad when ordered to surrender his Lieutenant General A. A. K. Niazi, Commander of Pakistani forces in East Pakistan.

In 1973 Sheikh Mujeebur Rahman (Prime Minister of newly formed country on the basis of Bengali nationalism, Bangladesh), Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto (Prime Minister of broken Pakistan) and Indira Gandhi had signed an agreement that no one will be charged who was involved in the civil war before formation of Bangladesh. After this agreement, Sheikh Mujeeb’s terrorist organization Mukti Bahini, who with the support of Indian army, both in uniform and civilian dress, led the massacre of hundreds of thousands of citizens of Pakistan “cleaned” their hands.  India attacked Pakistan with the help of Mukti Bahini that led to East Pakistan broken away from West Pakistan 42 years ago, which resulted killings on a mass scale, the exodus of hundreds of thousands of refugees. 250,000 non-Bengali Muslims (Urdu speaking called stranded Pakistanis) have forced to live in worst human conditions in the camps formed by several relief organizations including International Committee of the Red Cross, in 1971.

Pakistan Governments, both civilian and military, in last 43 years, didn’t bring back their own citizens rotting in the camps and under open skies in Bangladesh.

Abdul Quader Molla who martyred for supporting “Pakistan” was born and raised in East Pakistan. Ethnically he was Bengali speaking. He was never charged; there was never any police report of any crime. During this period, he completed his education, became the teacher, and principal. He was also the editor of a Bengali language newspaper “Sangram. Awami league has formed the government several times during the period (in last 42 years), and Molla was never charged for any crime.

Now, when Awami league saw their own unpopularity and clear sign of being defeated in coming election, they were trying to instigate the Bengali secular forces to counter an emerging force of Islam.

Awami League’ government had established a domestic court in 2010 called “International Crimes Tribunal” to find “culprits” ofwar crimes during the 1971 war which resulted in creation of Bangladesh.  Abdul Quader Molla is one of five Jamaat leaders sentenced by the ICT.

Abdul Quader Molla was convicted of “rape, murder and mass murder, including the killing of more than 350 unarmed civilians.” Abdul Quader’s defence lawyer Abdur Razzak told the world that his client had been denied justice and that the case against him relied on the testimony of just one witness –the testimony of false Momena Begum who had delivered three different statements in three different occasions. She, the only witness was not even present in the court; she was presented on “Skype.”

It was simply a cold blooded murder of “justice.”

“International Criminal Tribunal” ordered the life imprisonment for Molla. But his blood thirsty Hasina, her Awamy League and the secular fascists appealed the tribunal’s decision in the Supreme Court. In haste the decision was changed to death by hanging. It is also a unique precedent in the history of Justice that decision of lower court has been changed by the higher court to “increase” the punishment.

The line now drawn from the blood of Abdul Quader Molla divided Bangladesh into Islamic vs Hasina led secularists.  Jamaat Islami has called the execution a “political murder” and warned of exacting revenge for “every drop” of Molla’s blood.

However, acting Ameer of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami, Maqbul Ahmed has issued a statement urging the countrymen to form peaceful and non-violent resistance against the government conspiracy of killing Abdul Quader Molla.

Dr. Shafiqur Rahman, the acting Secretary General of Jamaat Islami said, “The soil which felt the blood of Abdul Quader Molla, will certainly host the flag of Islam. No tyrannical force will be able to eliminate Islam and Islamic movement from this land.”

The blood of Abdul Quader Molla could lead to an Islamic revolution in Bangladesh. That’s why worrying international players had started pressure on the government of Sheikh Hasina for not to carry out the death sentence. But Hasina has closed her ears and shut her eyes.

Molla’s family were allowed a final meeting with the 65-year-old and found him “calm.” “He told us that he is proud to be a martyr for the cause of the Islamic movement in the country,” his son, Hasan Jamil, told the media.

Last words of Abdul Quader Molla for his family:

After receiving the notification letter, the family members went to Dhaka central jail at 8 pm Friday (between Thursday and Friday) night to meet him. At that time, Abdul Quader Molla informed his family that, he is not informed of anything about his much talked about execution. His medical checkup and other formalities are not completed. He was acknowledged from his family men that the family is being invited by the prison authority to meet him for last occasion.

At that time, Abdul Quader Molla stated his family men that;

I was your guardian. If this government would kill me unlawfully, that will be a death of martyrdom. Following my martyrdom, Almighty Allah will be your guardian. HE is better guardian. So you have nothing to be worried.  I am absolutely innocent. I am being murdered as I am involved with the Islamic movement. The death in martyrdom is not bestowed in everyone’s fate. If Almighty Allah blesses me with martyrdom, I would consider myself as the luckiest. The martyrdom will be the best achievement of my life. My every single blood will mobilize the Islamic movement and will bring the doom of the autocrats. I am not worried for myself. I am worried about the fate of this nation and the Islamic movement. To my knowledge, I have not committed any mistakes or offences. I have sacrificed my entire life for the Islamic movement. I have never bow down my head before irregularities, will never do by the grace of Almighty Allah. No question is raised of seeking mercy or life before any worldly authority. Allah is the only deciding authority of life and death. Allah will fix my fate. I will not be executed as per the decision of any individual. My time and date of martyrdom will be finalized as per the decision of Almighty Allah. I will accept the decision of Almighty Allah in any cases. To the family members, he further stated that, you will keep patience. The blessings and forgiveness of Almighty Allah will be ensured through patience and tolerance. Only the salvation in the final Day of Judgment is our only desire. I am seeking prayer and support of the people for acceptance of my martyrdom. I am saluting the countrymen for their support and blessings.

The Last written words before being hanged:

Prisoner No 389: Abdul Quader Molla    Central Jail Dhaka

“I have been provided with a new dress. A bucket of water is also available to take bath. A soldier has ordered me to have bath as soon as possible.

A lot of people are visiting my barrack. Every cop peeps inside the barrack. Some of them are gloomy while some are pleased. Their nonstop visits are causing disturbance in my recitation from the Holy Quran.I have the Tafheem ul Quran by Syed Abul Ala Maududi in front of me. I have only one worry and that is about my Jamaat and workers.I pray to the Allah Almighty to keep them safe and away from harm (Ameen).May Allah have mercy upon the Muslims of Pakistan and Bangladesh (Ameen) and foil the conspiracies of anti-Islam elements (Ameen).I have to get ready for salatul Isha. I don’t know whether I get this opportunity again to say prayer or not. This is my humble request to you all to stick to your mission, which you have chosen. I see this way leads directly to the Jannah.  Your Muslim brother Abdul Quader Molla”

International Condemnation:

Rapp; Prime Minister of Turkey, RecepTayyip Erdogan; President of Turkey, Abdullah Gul; Lord Avebury; Lord Carlile; EU High Commissioner, Baroness Catherine Ashton; UK Senior Minister of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs, Baroness Sayeda Warsi; Secretary General of the Commonwealth, Kamalesh Sharma; Members of the UK All Party Parliamentary Group on Human Rights; European Parliament; Human Rights Watch; No Peace Without Justice; Amnesty International; International Center for Transitional Justice; International Commission of Jurists; Bar Human Rights Committee of England and Wales; KirstyBrimelow QC; Sir Desmond de Silva QC, Sir Geoffrey Nice QC; Karim Khan QC; Sir Henry Brooke QC CMG; Members of the House of Lords: Lord Judd; Lord Hussain; Baroness Kennedy QC; Lord Joffe; Lord Harris; Baroness Brinton; Lord Swinfen; Lord Dholakiaand, the numerous other organizations and individuals that have raised their voices of concern with the Bangladesh Prime Minister regarding the Tribunal and the execution of Abdul Quader Mollah.

Several human rights groups have expressed deep concern that the court falls short of international standards. The Supreme Court is the apex court of the country. It was a moral expectation of the concerned people that the appellate division will allow a detailed hearing of the review petition in regards to capital punishment. According to article 105 of the constitution, Abdul Quader Molla deserved the right to file a review petition. The defence should get 30 days to file that review petition. Prior to that process the government started the execution. The court was influenced and pressurized relentlessly by Hasina (Prime Minister, Law Minister and Home Minister) to execute Molla.

Independent United Nations human rights experts; Special Rapporteur on the independence of judges and lawyers Gabriela Knaul and Special Rapporteur on summary executions Christof Heyns, had said that that the Jamaat leader was not granted a fair trial.

The two Muslim countries, Turkey and Sudan, had strongly protested against Sheikh Haseena’s policies and had called for end to victimization of Jamaat leaders. However Nawaz Sharif led Muslim League’s Pakistan government did not say any word of condolence on political/judicial killing of Molla who became “criminal” for his support to Pakistan. Both the government and army of Pakistan kept a “criminal” silence. Opposition Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) and Tehreek e Insaaf (TI) of Imran Khan who appealed the voters in the last election in the name of “Pakistan” and “Islam” also kept silence on this issue.

Individually, Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan, the federal minister for interior and PPP leader Naveed Chaudhry has expressed grief and concern over the hanging of Abdul Quader Molla. Mr. Nisar Khan said that the JI leader was undoubtedly executed due to his loyalty and solidarity with Pakistan in 1971. Mr. Naveed Chaudhry said that BD government should have to forget the past.

From India, Jamaat Islami Hind and the All India Muslim Majlis-e Mushawarat, the umbrella body of Indian Muslim organizations severely condemned the Bangladesh government’s hasty execution of a controversial verdict issued by a discredited and politicized tribunal.
