Is not hard to imagine 39-year-old actor Christian Bale with an Oscar nomination under his belt, we all know he is no stranger to the Academy Awards and love his stuff! If he wins the award for Best Actor, it will be the second Oscar on his mantelpiece as he picked up Best Supporting Actor for his role in The Fighter in 2010.
We know one person who must be ecstatic about this news. We are talking about his gorgeous wife Sibi Blazic. She has been on his side for more than 15 years! Let’s keep talking about her shall we!
Sandra became Mrs. Bale on January 29, 2000. Sibi met Bale in the mid 1990s. She is a former model, make-up artist, and most known for being the personal assistant and long time friend to actress Winona Ryder. It was during this time, exactly in 1994 when Sibi Sibi met her future husband, at one of Winona Ryder’s barbecues.
Sibi as she is commonly known as, was born on April 14, 1970 in Chicago, Illinois, USA as Srboslava (Srbislava) Blazic. She is the daughter of Slobodan Blazic and Nadezda Topalski. Her parents were both born in Belgrade. They married in the Belgrade municipality of Vracar, Serbia.
She attended the University of Southern California and has a B.S. in Business.
Now you would think dating an actor like Bale would have called for a glamorous wedding, you know the one’s were you spend exorbitant figures but this was not the case as they eloped to Las Vegas and said “I do” to an Elvis Presley look-alike! Maybe it wasn’t the fairytale wedding but I’m sure it was just as romantic and exciting!
She gave birth to the couple’s only daughter, Emmeline on March 27, 2005 in California.
Since her marriage she has dedicated her time and effort to being a supportive wife and loving mother. She is all in favor of her hubby’s support to environmental groups following her late father in law’s tradition. She and husband Christian are in the Board of Trustees of the Dian Fossey Gorilla Fund.
As former assistant her credits include “George of the Jungle,” “Red Corner,” “Girl interrupted” and “Autumn in New York.” Sibi also was a stunt for “The Dark Knight Rises.”
