Details on William Peter Blatty’s Never-Before-Read Screenplays: “William Peter Blatty, the legendary author of The Exorcist and Legion, has opened his personal library to share five unproduced screenplays that have never been read by the general public before.
These screenplays are a first draft of Viva Las Vegas (yes, the Elvis movie!), a version of One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest meant to star Kirk Douglas, a screenplay based on an unfinished novella by Truman Capote, another constructed around the idea of a “behind the scenes” look at the making of a film very much like The Exorcist, and the story of a Japanese detective set in Tokyo.
To make this project extremely collectible, Lonely Road Books will only be printing enough copies of this beautiful Limited Edition hardcover set to fill the orders placed between October 1 and October 25. After that date, no more orders will ever accepted.”
For more information on these collectible items, visit: http://www.cemeterydance.com/page/CDP/PROD/o_blatty02 or go to: http://www.lonelyroadbooks.com/books/william-peter-blattys-lost-screenplay-collection/

Details on The Cage: “It’s closing time at Big Bill’s Electronics, but the employees will not be going home. Simon has arrived… and it’s a very special night. He needs six people—cooperation optional—to open something of his own. The captives will have to revert to their most savage, primal instincts if they hope to survive the night, but when the truth is revealed, death may come as a mercy.
Adaptation of dark and hyper-violent book The Cage, by celebrated author Brian Keene, finds director, cast, and F/X squad. Now they’re looking for the money necessary to bring the story of The Cage to fruition.
To be directed by Jon D. Wagner (D: Anniversary At Shallow Creek, P: All Cheerleader’s Die, Cheap Thrills), and produced by Brian James Fitzpatrick (Spring Breakers, London Fields), from a script written by Ted Rypel, and based on a story of the same name written by Bram Stoker Award-winning author, Brian Keene, The Cage has begun to assemble it’s cast: Zach Galligan, (Gremlins, Hatchet 3); Damian Maffei, (Joe R. Lansdale’s Christmas With The Dead); Hannah Fierman, (V/H/S); Megan Duffy, (Maniac); Samantha Hahn, (Blood Night: The Legend Of Mary Hatchet); and Sam Ingraffia, (The Falcon And The Snowman). Adding their talents to THE CAGE with imaginative special F/X are Emmy nominated (Boardwalk Empire) Jeremy Selenfriend, and Monster in My Closet F/X (The Amazing Spider-Man 2, Chernobyl Diaries, NBC’s The Blacklist).
The Cage team has opened a Kickstarter page to raise the $85,000 they need to mount the production.
“It’s always a daunting prospect when your work is adapted by others for another medium, but I have absolute confidence and belief in this project and the people involved. I can’t wait to see it!” “Myself and everyone involved feel a great responsibility to do this intense, mind bender of a film “right”, adds Wagner. “Not just for ourselves, but for all the different groups of fans out there who expect us to do good by them. There’s no stunt casting, no gimmicks. Just good, talented folks who are thrilled to be doing this movie.””

A magazine dedicated to all those things in horror culture that no one else is talking about. Why can’t you run a feature article about a company that makes design accessories for the home with old school gore VHS covers on them? Why shouldn’t you write five pages about the history of a collectible card series? Is it wrong to talk about the beauty of the Hellboy Library Editions?
Hell no, and that is the idea behind The Other Side of Horror. A magazine that is the resting place for all of those horrific little things that we all love, but that we have to dig so hard to find.”

Watch the Short Film, “Don’t Move” ”Set on one fateful night, six friends gather for their monthly ‘games night’… and accidentally unleash a demonic force that might tear them – and their friendships – to pieces.
‘Don’t Move’ is the 8th slice in Bloody Cuts’ anthology of short horror films, made by a young team of UK film-makers on low budgets. Directed by Anthony Melton and written by David Scullion it stars Rachel Bright and Jake Hendriks alongside Kate Braithwaite, Beth Cooper, Ian Whyte, Calvin Dean and Martin Skipper.
NOTE: “Don’t Move” is a horror film, so is best viewed with minimal lighting, and of course with speakers/headphones for the full experience.”
