woke up at 8:30 ish and ate soup and bread for breakfast. my mom insisted i eat some pie too, so i had some of that too
i got to the mall early (jk anna was just 20 minutes late as usual) so i went to sephora and started looking at nail polish and painting my nails
anna showed up and she joined in and we found this really pretty color (deborah lippmann modern love), and it was soo pretty and i love it a lot
and i legitimately considered buying it even though it was $17 (deborah lippmann is a designer polish)
and i figured i needed to exercise some self control, so i told myself i would not spend $17 on designer polish and that i’d look for a similar color from a cheaper brand
(i looked online and there were some that were similar but none seemed as pretty as the deborah lippmann one sigh)
anyway we left after that and went and looked at some stores idk
i bought bras for me and anna because there was a buy one get one deal and because i owe her a gift and we talked about getting bras together so yeah my almost 2 month late birthday gift to her was a bra
they were very pretty bras
and i got a shirt from the limited because it was 50% off which was exciting. we saw christine with her mom there heh
i wanted to get jeans from levi’s and i almost did (they were 40% off) but i decided not to because they were still somewhat expensive and they didn’t have the correct size so i figured it wasn’t worth it to pay that much for jeans that were too long for me. maybe next time.
i almost got boots from cathy jean too, but i figured they were too similar to the ones i already have. anna ended up getting them though, they’re cute :)
i got some white converse high tops. i saved $15 because i fit into a kids size shoe (size 3, which is equivalent to women’s size 5) and i probably had three store people helping me and they all thought it was really cool that i could save money buying kids size shoes. this one really funny employee gave this whole spiel on why i should buy them and i was impressed by his marketing skills hahaha
i also got a scarf from uniqlo that was $20 marked down from $30
we ate lunch somewhere in the middle of all of that. i ended up getting food from the chicken wow place and anna got food from the place i forget what it was called but it was the indian chipotle place
there was no seating anywhere inside (that we could find) so we sat by a fire outside and it was very warm
sometime after we got tired of all the shopping, anna and i decided to go sit at the microsoft store and rest and use their tablets and laptops
we sent prem a little certificate to match all the ones he sents me
ahem
anyway, i texted my family after that because they told me to text them when i was about done
and my brother decided to mess with me by telling me he was in the microsoft store and that he couldn’t find me
and i looked around and i didn’t see him so i told him i couldn’t find him either
and he was like “it’s not a very big store, look harder”
and i literally stood on a chair and looked around for him
but i didn’t see him and then he later texted me saying he wasn’t actually there, and i texted him saying “you’re dumb” and he replied with “you stood on a chair”
SIGH
anyway my family showed up but since they had just arrived, they hadn’t gotten a chance to look around yet, but anna and i were tired from carrying around our bags all day (shoes are heavy to carry)
so while my brother and dad started shopping, my mom took me and anna back to our car to drop our stuff off. it was dumb though because they parked really far, like on the opposite end of santana row
we passed alex and jessica li on santana row, but they were walking on the opposite side of the street in the opposite direction and alex made me stop in the middle of the street to talk to him which looking back was not a good idea
after dropping our stuff off, we went back to the mall and met up with my brother and my dad again and then anna basically followed my family around shopping. it was much more relaxing though because we had already dropped everything off, so we were just wandering and helping my brother pick out clothes
and then we all decided to go to h&m together
we spent a long time in there looking at clothes and i ended up getting 2 cardigans for myself, except they were both from the men’s section HAHA they were so comfortable though and they were quite cute in my opinion
and then came all this stupid nonsense. basically i had a $12 h&m card from wrapp, but then i had no service in the store and couldn’t get it to work on my phone, and i had to have the lady hold my purchase while i spent forever running out of the store, trying to get service, loading wrapp, running back in the store and showing her, then running out to load the next thing
and it was so stupid and a waste of time and i’m not really sure it was worth $12 but whatever
between the time it took for us to look at clothes and the time it took me to run in and out of the store, we spent over an hour in h&m
oh i ran into tasha in h&m and i was happy to see her except i bumped into her while i was running in and out of the store so it was kind of awkward but yeah
anyway, after all of that, my whole family was fed up with shopping so we were done for the day
actually, somewhere among all that shopping today i also ended up buying christmas gifts for 3 people but i won’t say what or for who because that would ruin the fun since they all read this tumblr
actually i think everyone on my christmas list reads this tumblr except for my family and maybe my secret santa for yearbook who i don’t know yet
although i can’t even say that for sure because some people from yearbook read this tumblr too

i think this is the first time i’ve successfully bought gifts for people during black friday though !!
anyway, we were gonna go somewhere nice for dinner but we ended up just going to pluto’s again. it was anna’s first time there!
and then my family drove anna to my house. we got home at 8 or 9 or something
she has been my only visitor to this house since victor heh
we just hung out in my room and talked and she looked at more of my baby pictures that i had around and stuff
and then i got bored and we went outside and watched jeopardy with my brother, except it wasn’t very fun because that episode was ridiculously hard and no one knew any of the answers to anything (including the actual contestants on the show)
there was a category called capital birth places, and it named someone famous who was born in a city that was a capital, and you had to name the capital city
like wtf who the hell knows where these people i’ve never even heard of are born
anyway, anna left after that and i watched some more tv with my brother until i fell asleep heh
i keep trying to tell myself that i didn’t buy THAT much, but i keep forgetting that i already bought clothes online a couple days ago
including the clothes that i (/kevin) bought online, i spent like $200 just on clothes… woops
LOL and my brother bought a phone and my parents bought a surface online after we got home, so i think as a family we spent close to $1000
i feel so guilty but so satisfied with all of our purchases
