We are now filling Crowlers!
Check out the video to see them in action.
What is a Crowler?
It’s a 32oz disposable aluminum growler we fill and can seam on site! When you’re finished just recycle them. No need to clean them out, or return them.
Great for those occasions when you forget your glass / stainless growler but still want to take something home that we have on tap.
Perfect for hiking/ camping trips too! Lighter weight than standard growlers, and when you’re finished just crush the can and recycle it.

Tasting notes for the 5 beers are below.
Fresh Hop Tasting Notes
Sample the below 5 beers for just $4 from 5-8PM on Thursday, October 8th!
Silver City – Wet Hop Citra Pale Ale
Every fall, brewers around the world anxiously await the harvest of a principal brewing ingredient – the hop. Hops are traditionally dried, losing some of their intense raw character while retaining the necessary oils to season beer. Some brewers make the extra effort to obtain farm fresh or “wet” hops to create something special. This year, Silver City showcases the green, unkilned character of the Citra Hop. This beer features aromas of tangerine and orange blossom and full flavors reminiscent of pineapple and pine resin creating a tantalizing experience for any hop lover. 6.1% ABV
Ninkasi – Green Haze IPA
Schooner Exact – Amarillo Single Hop IPA
Each year we embark upon a journey to Eastern Washington to the Mecca of hops. We brew a home brew size batch using the FRESHEST of hops available, ones that are literally just picked from the vines. We then return back to Seattle and brew a second commercial batch. We present to you the results. 6.5% ABV
Oakshire – Centurion Pale Ale
American Pale ale with the use of Wet (freshly picked) hops from Crosby Hop Farms in Woodburn Oregon. Centurion. The metric system is all over this beer. We love numbers divisible by 10. 1000 lbs of malt, 100 lbs of hops, 10 lbs of love. Centennial love. See what we did there? 5.6% ABV
Ninkasi – Total Crystalation IPA
Fresh Hop IPA. We take our regular IPA and transfer this into a tank with whole leaf hops in it. The beer sits in this tank for a week and then is kegged. Extra hop flavor and aroma is derived from this process, taking an already hoppy beer to new lupulin levels! 6.7% ABV
Fresh Hop Information Center
Hop Union Aroma Wheel
This unique tool allows you to select a particular hop character (citrus, herbal, pine, etc.) and they will give you a breakdown of the various hops that can be used to achieve that particular flavor or aroma profile. A great tool for beer novices or home brewers.

Fresh Hop vs Wet Hop
There are many questions regarding the difference between fresh hopped and wet hopped beers. Kendall from the Washington Beer Blog does a great job breaking down the difference and why it matters to what you are drinking.
Hop information and fun facts
We are lucky to live in an area of the United States that produces a vast majority of the hops used by brewers throughout the nation, and around the globe. As seen in the figure, the cone is very simply made up. Bracts, and bracteoles (small bracts) are leaf like structures that surround the entire cone, attaching to a central axis. Underneath the bracteoles is where the magic of the hop plant is found, the lupulin glands. Lupulin glands contain the resins and oils most brewers are looking for when making beer. Although a multitude of chemicals are present in these glands, the three main ones are alpha and beta acids, along with essential oils. These three chemicals are very important in the making of modern beer.
2015 North American Commercial Hop Production
Washington – 32,205 acres (70.8%)
Oregon – 6,807 acres (15%)
Idaho – 4,975 acres (10.9%)
Other States – 1,244 acres (2.7%)
Canada – 257 acres (0.6%)
Total – 45,488 acres (just over 71 square miles)
Ballast Point – Commodore Stout
The Commodore came out of our search for a medium-bodied American Stout. The recipe began at our R & D pilot brewery, but quickly became a favorite of our crew. Strong flavors of roasty coffee and bittersweet chocolate balance with light citrusy hop aromas, highlighted by a crisp bitter finish. One sip of this gold medal-winning stout will have you ready to take command of your own fleet. 6.5% ABV
Bear Republic – Black Racer IPA
Black Racer blends Bear Republic’s love of hops with the Pacific Northwest’s appreciation for dark ales. Our pit crew brews this award winning ale which boldly defines a new frontier of flavors and always maintains pole position. Race to the Dark Side. 8.1% ABV
Cider House 101 – Cactus Red
Finally, a cider that we can call our own. This is a truly regional cider, unique to Southern California. We crafted a blend of two indigenous desert plants that grow all over Los Angeles County, the Cactus and the Agave. We use only the highest quality California grown Cactus Pears, and 100% Organic Raw Blue Agave nectar. Brilliant blood red appearance, glowing with rich texture and beautiful aromatics. 6.9% ABV
Deschutes – Hop Trip Fresh Hop Pale Ale
Each year around Labor Day, Deschutes brewers high-tail it over the pass to Doug Weather’s hop fields near Salem for the harvest. After bagging these aromatic jewels, we hustle back and toss them into the brew kettles within four hours of picking. Our reward: a pale ale with a uniquely bright citrus punch and fall spice. It’s something only Deschutes would take past the idle-talk stage. Brewed with Salmon Safe Hops. 6.1% ABV
Also new from Deschutes:
Jubelale
Fort George – Squash Buckler Pumpkin Ale
Squash Buckler begins with the gathering of the fresh crop of sugar pumpkins by Organically Grown Company and their community of local farms, sometime around early September. Whole pumpkins are then sliced and diced, roasted in the Fort George wood-fired oven to caramelize the sugars, and then placed in the boil of this autumn seasonal. There are no additional flavorings or spices. Squash Buckler simply packs rich organic malts and fire-roasted pumpkin into a deep amber ale. 6.5% ABV
Reuben’s – Amarillo Fresh Hop Pale Ale 22oz (limit 1/ person)
The brew turned our really nice. Orange juice and mango lead the aroma and flavor, it has a juicy body, and most importantly the wet hop character comes through really nicely. It’s hard to describe that character – you have to try it yourself. It dissipates quickly – within a couple of weeks it will be subdued. So you have to drink this fresh! But I’d describe it akin to freshly cut grass, “green.” The beer right now literally smells of the hops we used fresh in the brewery on brew day! 6.0% ABV
Stone – 24 Carrot Golden Ale
Winner of Stone’s 2015 American Homebrewers Association competition. Brewed in collaboration with Juli Goldenberg & Monkey Paw Pub & Brewery. A carrot cake-inspired Belgian-style ale brewed with carrots, cinnamon, raisins & vanilla bean. 8.5% ABV
Uinta – Jacked B. Nimble Black Pumpkin
Meet Jacked B. Nimble. He enjoys Halloween, pumpkin patches, and long walks on the beach. Jacked B. Nimble is an Imperial Black Pumpkin Ale, weighs in at 11.0% ABV, and is brewed with roasted malt and rye. The brew will have a light bitterness and finish with bold malt characters. With booziness and spice you might think we’re being too nice but we promise this isn’t a trick, it’s merely a treat! 11.0% ABV
Avery Rumpkin
We wondered what would happen if a monstrous pumpkin ale, plump full of spicy gourdiness, were aged in fine fresh rum barrels to add suggestions of delicate oak and candied molasses. Rumpkin is what happened! This first member of the Annual Barrel-Aged Series was brewed with roasted pumpkins from a local Boulder County farm, and spiced with nutmeg, cinnamon, and ginger. 17% ABV.
Wingman – Heavy Bevvy Scotch Ale
Aged on toasted American oak, there are hints of vanilla, spice, smoke, and maple in this deliciously malty Scotch Ale. 10.0% ABV
