2008 Abreu “Madrona Ranch” Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon

Current bid (as of September 02, 2015 4:20 PM PST):
$240.00.

Auction Ending on September 05, 2015 6:00 PM PST
Bid on this bottle of 2008 Abreu “Madrona Ranch” Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (97RP, 94WS). Robert Parker’s Wine Advocate: “The 2008 Madrona Ranch opens with an incredibly expressive bouquet. Espresso, mocha and licorice meld into dark red fruit and sweet exotic spices in this superb wine. The 2008 is an extraordinarily polished, refined wine for the vintage. Sweet spiced and floral notes reappear to round out the finish. The relatively high percentage of Cabernet Franc (37%) comes through in spades here. The blend is 55% Cabernet Sauvignon, 37% Cabernet Franc, 4% Petit Verdot and 4% Merlot. Anticipated maturity: 2018-2033. “

2009 Abreu “Rothwell Hyde” St. Helena Bordeaux Blend

$190.00.

Auction Ending on September 04, 2015 12:00 PM PST
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2009 Abreu “Rothwell Hyde” St. Helena Bordeaux Blend (93RP). Robert Parker’s Wine Advocate: ” The flattering 2009 Cabernet Sauvignon offers plenty of dense, chewy fruit, medium to full body and hints of blackcurrants, charcoal, espresso bean and spice box. Drink it over the next decade. (RP)” (10/2014)

2009 Abreu “Thorevilos” Napa Valley Proprietary Red

$255.00.

Auction Ending on September 06, 2015 1:00 PM PST
Bid on this bottle of 2009 Abreu “Thorevilos” Napa Valley Proprietary Red (98RP, 97AG). Robert Parker’s Wine Advocate: “The 2009 Thorevilos displays a stunningly blue/purple color along with an exceptional nose of blueberry and blackberry liqueur intermixed with espresso, white chocolate and violets. With unbelievable intensity, a great, full-bodied mouthfeel, stunning purity, a subtle hint of wood, but no hard edges, this is one 2009 that does not have that broodingly tannic structure that is common in this vintage. This sensational effort can be drunk early on or cellared for another three decades. (RP)”

2007 Abreu Howell Mountain Proprietary Red

$265.00.

Auction Ending on September 03, 2015 12:00 PM PST
Bid on this bottle of 2007 Abreu Howell Mountain Proprietary Red (98RP). Robert Parker’s Wine Advocate: “The riveting 2007 Howell Mountain exhibits aromas of black raspberries, blueberries, crushed rocks and flowers along with full-bodied power accompanied by an ethereal delicacy and sublimity that make it a haunting wine to smell and taste. It should drink well for 25+ years.
I am increasingly impressed with Abreu’s Howell Mountain Proprietary Red wine. The blend tends to be about two-thirds Cabernet Sauvignon, 20-25% Cabernet Franc and 10-15% Merlot and Petit Verdot. A completely different animal than the Cappella or Madrona Ranch (which both come from lower elevation vineyards), this cuvee reveals extraordinary notes of crushed rocks and a liqueur of minerals in a steely, full-bodied, powerful style that possesses both intensity and finesse. (RP)” (12/2010)

2006 Agharta “Exhibit B” North Coast Bordeaux Blend

Starting bid (as of September 02, 2015 4:20 PM PST):
$90.00.

Auction Ending on September 07, 2015 2:00 PM PST
Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2006 Agharta “Exhibit B” North Coast Bordeaux Blend. Jancis Robinson: “Owned and made by Pax Mahle, also winemaker and owner of Windy Gap and ex-owner/winemaker of Pax Wines (which is now wholly owned by Joe Donelan and called Donelan Wines). Bordeaux blend.
Big and very ripe. Chewy finish. Hint of rusty nails on the end.” (02/2012)

2006 Alban “Lorraine” Edna Valley Syrah

$585.00.

Auction Ending on September 04, 2015 4:30 PM PST
Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2006 Alban “Lorraine” Edna Valley Syrah (100RP, 97WS, 95ST). Robert Parker’s Wine Advocate: “Named after his raven-haired Irish wife, the 2006 Syrah Lorraine, which comes from more sandy soils, is another prodigious effort. Like all of these wines, it is a remarkable wine of extraordinary intensity, with a stunning nose of blueberries, bacon fat, camphor, and even darker blackberries, along with unreal minerality and definition for a wine of this size and power. Full-bodied, with profound intensity of flavor as well as purity, this is another wine that spent nearly three and a half years in barrel prior to being bottled unfined and unfiltered. (RP)” (08/2010)

2006 Alban “Reva” Edna Valley Syrah

$570.00.

Auction Ending on September 07, 2015 4:30 PM PST
Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2006 Alban “Reva” Edna Valley Syrah (100RP, 97WS, 94ST). Robert Parker’s Wine Advocate: “The 2006 Syrah Reva, coming from parcels of dark, volcanic soil, has off-the-chart richness and intensity. This thick, opaque-purple colored wine offers up notes of scorched earth, ground pepper, and blackberry liqueur intermixed with cassis, licorice, camphor, and tar. The wine is spectacular in every sense. Full-bodied and certainly not for wimps, this is a remarkably concentrated yet very nuanced and intense wine that should age for 20 more years.” (08/2010)

2010 Alban “Reva” Edna Valley Syrah

$180.00.

Auction Ending on September 09, 2015 10:30 AM PST
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2010 Alban “Reva” Edna Valley Syrah ((95-97AG), (94-96RP), (92-93ST), 93WS). Antonio Galloni: “The 2010 Syrah Reva is magnificent. Blue and blackish tone fruits, smoke, tar, licorice, cloves and menthol all flesh out in a supple, exotic wine endowed with superb depth and polish. An explosive finish rounds things out beautifully in this impeccable, opulent Syrah. The 2010 spent 44 months in oak, 70% new, all of which it has handled with grace. Of the three 2010 Syrahs, this is the wine I would personally reach for more often, as it is truly stellar.

2006 Alban “Reva” Edna Valley Syrah (1.5L)

$660.00.

Auction Ending on September 03, 2015 4:30 PM PST
Bid on this 2-magnum lot of 2006 Alban “Reva” Edna Valley Syrah (1.5L) (100RP, 97WS, 94ST). Full-bodied and certainly not for wimps, this is a remarkably concentrated yet very nuanced and intense wine that should age for 20 more years. (RP)” (08/2010)

2006 Alban “Seymour’s Vineyard” Edna Valley Syrah

$1,050.00.

Auction Ending on September 05, 2015 4:30 PM PST
Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2006 Alban “Seymour’s Vineyard” Edna Valley Syrah (98RP, 96ST, 96WS). Robert Parker’s Wine Advocate: “The succession of prodigious Syrahs continues with the 2006 Syrah Seymour’s Vineyard (named after John Alban’s father). An infant in terms of development, it exhibits a smoky meatiness along with a forest floor character as well as its siblings’ colossal level of concentration, enormous, multilayered texture, and skyscraper-like mouthfeel. Remarkably, there is no sense of heaviness. Another tour de force in Central Coast Syrah, it should drink well for 30-40 years. (98+)” (08/2009)

2007 Alban “Seymour’s Vineyard” Edna Valley Syrah

$580.00.

Auction Ending on September 06, 2015 4:30 PM PST
Bid on this 4-bottle lot of 2007 Alban “Seymour’s Vineyard” Edna Valley Syrah (94RP, 94WS). Wine Spectator: “Dense and chewy from the start, this is rustic, but pleasantly so. A cement mixer of crushed rock, extracted dark berry, espresso, road tar and melted black licorice. A striking, muscle-bound effort that’s fun to wrestle with. Drink now through 2024.” (12/2012)

2004 Alban “Seymour’s Vineyard” Edna Valley Syrah

$215.00.

Auction Ending on September 08, 2015 10:30 AM PST
Bid on this bottle of 2004 Alban “Seymour’s Vineyard” Edna Valley Syrah (100RP, 98WS, 95ST). Robert Parker’s Wine Advocate: “The most structured of the three Syrahs, the 2004 Syrah Seymour’s Vineyard (100% Syrah from mostly flint and sandstone soils) is the most youthful in the lineup, with still obvious structure, incredible purity, and a finish that just won’t quit. Giving up notions of creme de cassis, smoked meats, crushed rock-like minerality, pepper and even hints of bacon fat, it’s more focused and precise than the Lorraine, yet has full-bodied richness, awesome purity and perfect balance between its structure and fruit. Benefitting from a decant, this fabulous wine will stand toe to toe with the best in the world, and will have another 15-20 years of longevity if well stored. (JD)” (04/2014)

2003 Araujo “Eisele Vineyard” Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon

$185.00.

Auction Ending on September 03, 2015 10:00 AM PST
Bid on this bottle of 2003 Araujo “Eisele Vineyard” Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (96RP, 94ST, 91WS). Robert Parker’s Wine Advocate: “Absolutely superb, this 2003 is drinking beautifully. This blend of 88% Cabernet Sauvignon, 9% Cabernet Franc and 3% Petit Verdot from the famous hillside Eisele Vineyard in northeast Napa Valley tips the scales at 14.5% natural alcohol. Gorgeously fresh black currant and black raspberry notes intermixed with spring flowers and forest floor jump from the glass from one of the most aromatically complex wines of the vintage. Medium to full-bodied with sweet fruit, velvety, melted, integrated tannin, a round, generous mouthfeel and no evidence of oak, this is a classy, elegant as well as substantial beauty that continues to age well. It may even be superior to Araujo’s 2002, which, on paper, is a better vintage. The seductive, alluring 2003 should remain at this level for another 5-8 years, but there is
no reason to defer your gratification. Bravo! (RP)” (

2004 Araujo “Eisele Vineyard” Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon

$350.00.

Auction Ending on September 04, 2015 10:30 AM PST
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2004 Araujo “Eisele Vineyard” Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (95WS, 94RP, 94ST). Wine Spectator: “*Collectibles* Firm, tight and well-structured, with a medley of floral, spice and dried currant and a touch of herb and cedary oak. Well-integrated, focused and concentrated, with a long, deep, persistent finish. Will reward cellaring. Best from 2009 through 2020.” (10/2007)

2002 Araujo “Eisele Vineyard” Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon

$260.00.

Auction Ending on September 09, 2015 4:00 PM PST
Bid on this bottle of 2002 Araujo “Eisele Vineyard” Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (99RP, 96WE, 95ST, 95WS). Robert Parker’s Wine Advocate: “Araujo’s spectacular 2002 Cabernet Sauvignon Eisele Vineyard is a 1,700-case blend of 96% Cabernet Sauvignon, 3% Cabernet Franc and 1% Petit Verdot from a vineyard tucked in the lower hillsides of northeastern Napa Valley, not far from the quaint town of Calistoga. Araujo has enjoyed an incredible string of top-notch vintages from 2001 through 2005 and again from 2008 through 2010. Extremely youthful at age ten, the 2002 is a candidate for perfection. Its dense blue/purple hue is followed by abundant aromas of cassis, incense, crushed rocks and spring flowers. Full-bodied and opulent as well as pure, rich and authoritative, with abundant but beautifully integrated tannins, this opulent, plush 2002 can be drunk now or cellared for another 20-25 years.” (06/2012)

2003 Araujo “Eisele Vineyard” Napa Valley Syrah

$120.00.

Auction Ending on September 05, 2015 10:30 AM PST
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2003 Araujo “Eisele Vineyard” Napa Valley Syrah (94RP, 92ST). Robert Parker’s Wine Advocate: “Although production is tiny (300 cases), Araujo’s Eisele Vineyard Syrah is an ageworthy effort that is generally co-fermented with a small amount of Viognier (around 4%), and aged in French oak (50% new). The 2003 Syrah Eisele Vineyard reveals a wonderful blackberry, chocolate, and peppery-scented nose along with good subtlety as well as authoritative richness, power, and purity. It is a stunning Syrah that should last a decade even though it will provide immediate gratification. (RP)” (12/2006)

2004 Araujo “Eisele Vineyard” Napa Valley Syrah

Auction Ending on September 06, 2015 10:00 AM PST
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2004 Araujo “Eisele Vineyard” Napa Valley Syrah (94RP, 92ST). Robert Parker’s Wine Advocate: “(94+ points): Previously recommended, but no tasting note given. In a 12/2007 review with the same score: Syrah has done well in this climate, and the 2004 Syrah Eisele Vineyard is a more elegant, lighter-styled wine than I thought from tasting it last year. It is still well-delineated with a dark ruby/purple color, floral and blackberry notes, a subtle peppery touch and a hint of meat. The wine is pretty and does include a small percentage of Viognier in the blend (usually around 3-4%). Unfortunately, the production of this wine is only around 300-400 cases. One of California’s and the world’s great wine estates, Araujo continues to exhibit remarkable consistency and impeccably high quality. Little seems to change other than some minor tweaking with respect to viticulture and winemaking. The team of Bart and Da
phne Araujo, their talented longtime winemaker, Francoi

$160.00.

Auction Ending on September 07, 2015 10:30 AM PST
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2006 Araujo “Eisele Vineyard” Napa Valley Syrah (92RP, 91ST). Robert Parker’s Wine Advocate: “The sexy, opulent, floral, blackberry and black currant-scented and flavored, medium to full-bodied 2006 Syrah Eisele Vineyard displays a seductive quality that is hard to ignore. I would opt for drinking it over the next decade. ” (12/2009)

2007 Araujo “Eisele” Napa Valley Syrah

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2007 Araujo “Eisele” Napa Valley Syrah (92ST, 91RP). Stephen Tanzer’s International Wine Cellar: “Deep ruby. Very pure, lively aromas of blackberry, violet, licorice and bitter chocolate. Dense, spicy and sweet but not weighty, offering complex flavors of black fruits and minerals complicated by chocolate and game. The long finish features suave, fine-grained tannins and impressive persistence. This has turned out very well.” (05/2010)

2011 Aston Estate Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir

$110.00.

Auction Ending on September 03, 2015 12:30 PM PST
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2011 Aston Estate Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir (94RP, 93WS). Robert Parker’s Wine Advocate: “The 2011 Pinot Noir Aston Estate is gorgeous. Sweet red berries, hard candy, crushed flowers, spices and tobacco are some of the many notes that are woven into this attractive, floral Pinot. The 2011 offers an attractive combination of minerality and that distinctive expression of fruit that is so typical of the Sonoma coast. This is a gorgeous effort. In 2011, yields came in at just one ton per acre and the harvest finished on October 2, exceedingly late for Pinot. (AG)” (12/2012)

2013 Aubert “Larry Hyde and Sons Vineyard” Carneros Chardonnay

$290.00.

Auction Ending on September 07, 2015 10:00 AM PST
Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2013 Aubert “Larry Hyde and Sons Vineyard” Carneros Chardonnay ((92-96RP), 95AG). Robert Parker’s Wine Advocate: “The 2013 Chardonnay Larry Hyde & Sons reveals a greenish hue to its gold color as well as crisp acidity, hints of orange blossom, white peach, white currants and mangoes. This fresh, beautifully fruited, medium to full-bodied, rich wine should drink well for 10-12 years. Production from this four-acre vineyard is generally around 1,000 cases. (RP)” (12/2014)

2005 Aubert “Lauren Vineyard” Sonoma Coast Chardonnay

$285.00.
Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2005 Aubert “Lauren Vineyard” Sonoma Coast Chardonnay (98RP, 93ST, 92WS). Robert Parker’s Wine Advocate: “Another utterly profound wine is the 2005 Chardonnay Lauren Vineyard. A gorgeous nose of wet rocks, white currants, flowers, pineapple, and honeysuckle are all present in this vivid, full-bodied, powerful wine that tastes like a Chevalier-Montrachet from France. Stunningly rich, pure, and long, this is another tour de force from Mark Aubert, who certainly has the Midas touch when it comes to Chardonnay and Pinot Noir. It should drink well for 5-8 years.” (12/2007)

2004 Aubert “Lauren Vineyard” Sonoma Coast Chardonnay

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2004 Aubert “Lauren Vineyard” Sonoma Coast Chardonnay (97RP, 96WS, 95ST). Robert Parker’s Wine Advocate: “A superb effort, the 2004 Chardonnay Lauren Vineyard exhibits huge notes of lemon oil, nectarines, quince, citrus blossoms, and crushed rocks/minerals. This big, rich, full-bodied Chardonnay boasts stunning acidity, a superb texture, and an amazing finish. This Chardonnay tends to be aged in 100% new oak (which is totally concealed) and is bottled without fining or filtration. Consequently, if it has just been shipped or moved, it can reveal a slight haze.” (12/2006)

2004 Aubert “Reuling Vineyard” Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir

$135.00.

Auction Ending on September 08, 2015 10:00 AM PST
Bid on this bottle of 2004 Aubert “Reuling Vineyard” Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir ((96-98RP), 93ST, 93WS). Robert Parker’s Wine Advocate: “The 2004 Pinot Noir Reuling Vineyard reveals the floral, blueberry, and raspberry-scented perfume of a sublime Richebourg or Grands Echezeaux. It possesses sweet plum and flower characteristics, fabulous body, a terrific texture, and a long, pure finish. Wow… this stunning Pinot Noir could easily have been made at Burgundy’s most famous domaine! ” (12/2005)

2004 Aubert “Ritchie Vineyard” Sonoma Coast Chardonnay

$280.00.

Auction Ending on September 04, 2015 10:00 AM PST
Bid on this 4-bottle lot of 2004 Aubert “Ritchie Vineyard” Sonoma Coast Chardonnay (95ST, 94WS, 93RP). Stephen Tanzer’s International Wine Cellar: “Slightly hazy appearance. Musky, highly complex aromas of crystallized lemon peel, pineapple and smoke. Fat and sweet but shapely, with wonderfully tactile flavors of pineapple, grapefruit and minerals. As round and seamlessly sweet as this is, there’s a restraint to the fruit thanks to its terrific acid/alcohol balance. Finishes chewy and gripping, with powerful ripe fruit flavors. This is from a ’71 planting; perhaps due to the age of the vines, the crop level here was a fairly normal 2.5 tons per acre, while Aubert’s other three chardonnays, from younger vines, were in the 1 to 1.5 ton range. This vineyard was harvested last, in mid-September, after the extended heat wave subsided.” (05/2006)

2005 Aubert “Ritchie Vineyard” Sonoma Coast Chardonnay

Auction Ending on September 05, 2015 10:00 AM PST
Bid on this 4-bottle lot of 2005 Aubert “Ritchie Vineyard” Sonoma Coast Chardonnay (96RP, 96ST, 93WS). Robert Parker’s Wine Advocate: “The 2005 Chardonnay Ritchie Vineyard has notes of nectarines, lemon oil, marmalade, roasted pineapple, and a hint of smoky, toasty oak, but a very subtle one. Stunningly rich, full-bodied, opulent, but with zesty acidity (a hallmark of all these 2005s), this wine looks set for 5-7 years of evolution.” (12/2007)

2004 Aubert “UV Vineyard” Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir

Auction Ending on September 09, 2015 10:00 AM PST
Bid on this bottle of 2004 Aubert “UV Vineyard” Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir (97RP, 94WS, 93ST). Robert Parker’s Wine Advocate: “The amazing 2004 Pinot Noir UV Vineyard, made from the Calera clone of Pinot Noir, is named after Aubert’s superb viticultural manager, Ulises Valdez. This Sonoma Coast vineyard has produced a prodigious wine exhibiting gorgeous aromas of blueberries, black raspberries, plums, forest floor, and violets. Full-bodied with superb underlying acidity, layers of texture and richness yet unbelievably surreal and light on the palate, this stunning wine can be consumed over the next decade.” (12/2006)

Wine Spectator: “Ripe, smooth, rich and complex with pretty toasty, buttery oak and layers of cherry, currant, anise and plum-tinged fruit, with flavors that stay with you from start to finish. Wine Enthusiast: “*Cellar Selection* The fruity intensity of this young Cabernet is impressive, an explosion of cassis and cocoa flavor that dominates the palate. Beyond that is the overall balance. The tannins are sturdy, with good, clean acidity, and the finish is exceptionally long and rich. This classic mountain Napa Cabernet is tough now, and should slowly soften over the next 15 years. ” (08/2006)

Pungent aromas of red and dark berries, Asian spices and musky herbs. Broad, fleshy dark berry flavors gain freshness with air and pick up notes of allspice and candied rose. Manages to be both rich and lively, finishing with excellent energy and lingering spiciness. This really hangs onto the palate. More serious than the Beaux Freres Vineyard bottling, but I marginally prefer that wine’s liveliness.” (05/2009)

Robert Parker’s Wine Advocate: “Beringer’s 1985 Private Reserve is a superb, fully mature (atypical for the vintage), medium to full-bodied Cabernet Sauvignon with an enticing, chocolatey, herb, blackcurrant-scented nose, rich, plump, expansive, sweet, jammy flavors, attractive spice, and a soft, lush finish. It has matured quickly for a 1985, but there is no rush to consume it as it reveals no signs of fatigue.” (04/1995)

Unfortunately, there are only 200 cases compared to 510 cases of the 2009 Proprietary Red. It finished at 15.2% alcohol, and reminded me of the pre-1975 vintages of Petrus. Robust and full-bodied with abundant notes of kirsch, mocha, mulberry and plum fruit intertwined with grilled meat and charcuterie, new saddle leather and fudge characteristics. This superb

Of the 2007 Bond “Vecina” Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend,Robert Parker’s Wine Advocate writes: “A perfect wine, the 2007 Vecina provides a prodigious display of blackberries, charcoal, black currants, burning embers and a La Mission-Haut-Brion-like hot rock/gravelly character. The most tannic as well as most concentrated and layered of the 2
007s, this is a long-term, but utterly brilliant wine. In many ways it reminds me of the Harlan Estate itself giv

Harlan Pinot Noir (92RP, 91ST, 90BH) and 1-bottle of 2005 Calera “Jensen” Mt. Harlan Pinot Noir (95RP, 92BH, 92ST, 90WS). Of the 2005 Calera “Jensen” Mt. Harlan Pinot Noir,Robert Parker’s Wine Advocate writes: “My favorite from Calera is usually the Jensen Vineyard, and the 2005 Pinot Noir Jensen is prodigious. Complex notes of sweet plum, pomegranate, and cherry are followed by subtle wood smoke, forest floor, underbrush, and sauteed mushrooms. This broad, complex, full-bodied wine has stunning concentration, length, and richness. Very primary and young, it seems to have at least 15 years of aging ahead of it. This is a very impressive wine from Calera, as is the 2005 vintage overall.” (08/2009)

2000 Calera Pinot Noir Tasting Lot

Auction Ending on September 05, 2015 6:30 PM PST
Bid on this 4-bottle lot of 2000 Calera Pinot Noir Tasting Lot, including 2-bottles of 2000 Calera “Reed Vineyard” Pinot Noir (91ST, 89RP) and 2-bottles of 2000 Calera “Jensen Vineyard” Mt. Harlan Pinot Noir (93RP). Of the 2000 Calera “Jensen Vineyard” Mt. Harlan Pinot Noir,Robert Parker’s Wine Advocate writes: “The 2000 Pinot Noir Jensen (yields of 1.06 tons of fruit per acre, or 15.9 hectoliters per hectare) exhibits a deep ruby/purple color as well as complex, sweet forest floor aromas intermingled with smoky, gamy, cherry and strawberry jam scents. This olfactory smorgasbord is followed by a big, firmly structured Pinot that requires 1-3 years of cellaring. Long, complex, and potentially superb, it will last for 12-15 years. It’s a beauty, but more backward, and less showy as well as open-knit on the palate than some of the other Calera Pinot Noirs.” (04/2003)

Harlan Pinot Noir (93WE). Of the 2002 Calera “Selleck Vineyard” Mt. Harlan Pinot Noir,Wine Enthusiast writes: “This is the palest and lightest of Calera’s ‘02 Pinots, but paradoxically it’s enormously concentrated in flavor and possible the most ageworthy. It explodes with cherry cola, cherry pie filling, raspberry, blueberry, cocoa-dusted latte and cinnamon-nutmeg spice. But it has the depth and balance for the long haul. ” (12/2006)

2012 Caymus “40th Anniversary” Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon

$775.00.
Bid on this 12-bottle lot of 2012 Caymus “40th Anniversary” Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (96RP, 91WS). Robert Parker’s Wine Advocate: “I am old enough to remember Chuck Wagner and his father, who I first met at Caymus in the late seventies. This is clearly one of Napa Valley’s iconic wineries, as well as one that, amazingly, never went through a bad patch. Obviously, no matter which generation is in the driver’s seat (or should I say tractor’s seat), Caymus Vineyard knows how to deliver flavor and deliciousness. They appear to be immune to some of winedom’s less than intelligent trends and fads that we see from time to time, and the result is a spectacular 2012 Cabernet Sauvignon 40th Anniversary offering. Its dense purple/black color is followed by copious quantities of crème de cassis and blackberry fruit, silky tannins, a voluptuous texture and stunning purity as well as length. This full-bodied effort is a fabulous examp
le of Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon as well as a tribute to

Oak adds extra dimensions of smoky vanilla, caramel, butterscotch and gingerbread.” (08/2007)

2011 Caymus “Special Selection” Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2011 Caymus “Special Selection” Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (95RP, 94WS, 93JS, 92ST). This full-bodied, velvety textured, delicious 2011 is already drinking well, and should continue to do so for 10-12 years. It is a terrific success for the vintage. (RP)” (10/2013)

In the mouth, flavors of black plums, mint-menthol and tobacco—all with a foresty accent—fill the palate. On the heavy side of medium-weight, with a supple texture, it has a long, toasty finish with fine tannins. ” (11/2000)

2003 Caymus Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2003 Caymus Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (94WE, 93WS, 92RP). Wine Enthusiast: ” *Cellar Selection* This extraordinary wine possesses an enormous wealth of black cherry, blueberry, cassis and espresso flavors, wrapped in fine, well-toasted oak. Has that rare quality of elegance, in which all the parts work together in harmony. Thoroughly dry, it’s marked by a firm, astringent tannic structure now, but is a certain cellar candidate.” (06/2006)

$480.00.
Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2010 Cayuse “Cailloux Vineyard” Walla Walla Valley Syrah (96RP, 95ST, 95WS). Robert Parker’s Wine Advocate: “The only one of Christophe’s Syrahs to be co-fermented with Viognier, the 2010 Syrah Cailloux Vineyard (90% Syrah, 10% Viognier) shows the least amount of Cayuse funk and has classic northern Rhone-like aromas and flavors of black raspberry, black pepper, edgy minerality, spring flowers and hints of bacon fat. Gaining additional complexity and nuances with air, it is silky and polished on the palate, with full-bodied richness, a seamless, elegant texture and remarkable persistence and length on the finish. One of those wines that delivers incredible amounts of fruit and texture without ever seeming heavy, it is a brilliant wine that will benefit from a handful of years in the cellar and shine for 10-15 years. Drink now-2025. (JD)” (06/2013)

2010 Cayuse “Camaspelo” Walla Walla Valley Bordeaux Blend

$430.00.
Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2010 Cayuse “Camaspelo” Walla Walla Valley Bordeaux Blend (96RP, 94WE, 93WS, 92ST). Robert Parker’s Wine Advocate: “More edgy and fresh than the Widowmaker, with more up-front acidity, the 2010 Camaspelo offers a classic Bordeaux-styled bouquet of deep back currant and black cherry fruit intermixed with tobacco leaf, lead pencil shavings and hints of fresh herbs. Perfumed, complex and elegant, with a full-bodied, detailed and energetic profile on the palate, it is a beautifully balanced 2010 that will benefit from short-term cellaring and have 15-20 years of ultimate longevity. Drink 2017-2030. (JD)” (06/2013)

Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2008 Cayuse “God Only Knows” Walla Walla Valley Grenache (94RP, 93ST, 93WE). Robert Parker’s Wine Advocate: “Baron’s 2008 Grenache Armada Vineyard God Only Knows displays delectable scents and luscious palate presence of lightly-cooked strawberry and plum laced with nut oils and shadowed by plum and herb distillates. Seamlessly polished, almost velvety and glycerol-rich as well as sweetly ripe, this, nonetheless, projects a torrent of primary fruit juiciness along with levity and energy. Saliva-inducing salinity along with piquant fruit pit, and iodine accents add riveting counterpoint to a finish of prodigious length that manages to simultaneously sooth and stimulate. I would expect this to reward attention for at least another decade. (DS)” (12/2012)

This remarkable 2010 should drink beautifully for 20 or more years. (RP)” (10/2013)

It, too, reveals the noble sweetness of tannin, the extraordinary rich, intense mouthfeel, and sumptuous aromas of flowers, burning embers, blackberries, blueberries, spice box, and cedar. With extraordinary intensity, beautiful purity, a texture and flavors that build incrementally on the palate, and a significantly long finish, this is a perfect wine. (RP)” (12/2008)

2008 Colgin “IX Estate” Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend (OWC)

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2008 Colgin “IX Estate” Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend (OWC – 99JS, 99WE, 96RP, 94ST, 93WS) in original wood. Wine Enthusiast: “This is an absolutely beautiful wine to drink now, but the richness comes at the price of considerable alcohol. The color is dark and impenetrable, the aromas huge in Cabernet-inspired blackberries and black currants, with a touch of something herbal and also a stony minerality. There’s also a fascinating peatiness, like an Islay Scotch. It really opens up in the glass, becoming ever more complex. It’s great Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon, but that high alcohol may limit its ageability.” (10/2012)

Of the 2006 Dark Matter Howell Mountain Zinfandel,Robert Parker’s Wine Advocate writes: “In contrast, a promising, complex wine that walks a razor’s edge between ripeness and overripeness, and equilibrium versus imbalance is the brilliant 2006 Zinfandel Dark Matter. Displaying deep, earthy, pepper, black raspberry, cherry, and forest floor notes, it could be mistaken for a top-class Pinot Noir or red Burgundy. Extremely complex by Zinfandel standards, this medium to full-bodied effort reveals no evidence of oak aging, and it finishes with tremendous balance in spite of its substantial size and fruit. This wine is still in barrel! ” (12/2008)
