Beloved Customers and Friends:
Hiya everybody. Hope you’ve had a nice week. Not a ‘real’ list this
Friday, it’s an in-betweener. And, in fact, not even a list, exactly.
So… we wish we would have come up with a special Pride-themed list
this week, like maybe with Arthur Russell, Patrick Cowley, Sleater-
Kinney and ESG records on it, for instance, but got started on the
idea a little too late, so we weren’t totally able to pull that
together in time – though, in the process of thinking about it, we
discovered we have one last copy of the Behead The Prophet N.L.S.L. cd
in stock, if anyone is interested in grabbing that awesome 1996 disc
of noisy metallic violin-abetted homopunk hardcore, you can find the
review of it on our site.
Then, this morning, we thought, hmmm, hey, what about a Supreme Court
themed list!? But, a SCOTUS list would be kinda tough. What would it
be, nine records, of which like 5 are pretty cool and the other 4 are
super lame?? So, no.
In the end, sorry, we fully bailed on coming up with an actual in-
between “list” this week. Can’t always do it. But we did want to say
hi, and encourage you to come by and shop this weekend if you’re in
the neighborhood, and of course you might wanna take a look at the
latest, as-yet-unreviewed new arrivals in the section we have for
those towards the end of this list. Also, our last list proper, #477,
We do sorta have one excuse for been slackers this week – we had
visitors from out of town – all the way from Finland: our good friend
Jussi from Circle, and his lovely wife and delightful little daughter,
who just made a brief trip up to SF while on a US vacation
(Disneyland!). Great to see them. They stayed with Andee, and
yesterday both Andee and Allan, along with Andee’s lady Heather and
Allan’s baby Josie, spent all afternoon hanging out at the SF Zoo with
Jussi and his family. This was the first time either Allan or Andee
had ever been to the San Francisco Zoo, after having lived here for
20+ years, we guess ’cause we have mixed feelings about zoos. They are
kind of of sad, at least for some of the creatures… but the seeing
the animals IS amazing, and definitely neat for kids, who after all
learn about jungle animals before just about anything else. And,
having now been to the zoo, we have two words for you: Rhino Butt.
Also, we discovered that Josie speaks Finnish. A little. Maybe. Or so
Jussi says.

7″s are too big for the Priority flat rate boxes.)
NOTE: UPS permits their drivers to determine if there is a secure
location at the shipping address to leave the package if no one is
there to receive it (unfortunately some are less cautious than
others!). If you’d prefer that they not do this or if you have
specific instructions for the driver, please include a note in the
comments section of your weborder form.

INTERNATIONAL INSURANCE :
Aquarius is not responsible if your international package gets lost in
the mail. Insurance is your only recourse if your records never show
insurance might provide some additional piece of mind. We strongly
recommend it. But yes, it is very expensive. Even moreso recently with
the recent hike in USPS international shipping rates, but still, it’s
your choice. Again: Aquarius is not responsible for lost mail, so if
you aren’t willing to take a (slight but real) risk, please buy the
insurance.
International insurance is very expensive! In fact often the insurance
costs more than the value of your package, in which case it obviously
does not make sense to insure it. You can check the US Postal Service
International”, which is the way insured packages are sent. 1-3 cds is
usually 1 pound. 1 lp is usually a between 1.25 and 1.5 pounds.)
For example: for a one-pound package worth $25 going to England,
shipping without insurance is about $16.75. But with insurance, the
shipping / insurance total is over $42! Go up to two pounds and
uninsured first class is about $24, insured priority over $46. But
bigger packages weighing over four pounds automatically get bumped up
to the priority rate, in which case insurance is generally only a few
dollars more and in that case definitely worth it.
It is your reponsibility to check the international rate calculator in
order to determine whether or not you want international insurance. If
you tell us you want international insurance, we will add it to your
order no matter how much it costs!

until your order is ready to ship.
Money orders are accepted, but only in $USD. International customers
please note that they must be international postal money orders
purchased at a post office. Additional processing fees may apply.
