Mother’s Day is next Sunday, so I thought I’ll share something special Northwestern Mutual is doing. The company is launching a campaign to honor heroic moms and mother figures. As part of their #MyHeroMom initiative, the Northwestern Mutual Foundation will donate up to $50,000 to its nonprofit partner, Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation (ALSF), for childhood cancer research. They are encouraging everyone to upload images of the heroic mom in their life to Twitter, Instagram and/or Facebook with the hashtag #myheromom. For each social action (image upload, Facebook share and like, tweet and retweet) generated, Northwestern Mutual will make a $5 donation.
