During our recent 7-night Disney Fantasy Cruise, I took the plunge and experienced MY VERY FIRST spa treatment at Senses Spa & Salon. Let me tell you.... I am so elated that I got the chance to be pampered and I felt like a million bucks when it was all said and done.
Entrance to Senses Spa
I decided on the Elemis Aroma Spa Ocean Wrap with Half-Body Massage and set the appointment for 9:00 AM on our first sea day. I arrived on time and checked in and from the very start, everyone I encountered was so polite and friendly. I felt like a dunce when I attempted to open a locker and the attendant had to assist me (bless her heart, I bet she thought I was a dunce for sure).

After I got my clothing and personal items settled, they directed me to the waiting area. To be honest, I could have stayed there because it was so peaceful and tranquil, but alas I was there to get some things done.
When my masseuse came out she introduced herself and walked me to the treatment room. She explained the treatment and what I would experience while there and then the magic happened. She spread the heated seaweed over my body and wrapped me in (what I call) a plastic cocoon. The "table" felt like a waterbed and I felt like I was floating with the constant sway of the vessel. While there, she massaged my scalp and I almost fell asleep. Then she instructed me to take a shower and come back. I was again wrapped up (sans the heated seaweed) and this time while floating she massaged my feet. Once that was complete I was filled with sweat and she said that was a good thing (see, I passed the test). I took another shower and one would think that was the end, but it was not. It was time for my half-body Deep Tissue Massage. Oh my!!! I can't begin to tell you how this made me feel. Wow!!
After it was all complete, she explained what she did and what she noticed (stress spots, of course). And my body felt wonderful. As I got dressed and left, I was SOOO tempted to go back to the desk and tell them to book me again, but sadly, my finances would not allow it. I was so thankful that I got the chance to experience something that I normally would not do.
They will see me again!
Until Next Time!
