MTN a giant telecommunication network in Nigeria has
announced a challenge for talented mobile and Smartphones application developers in Nigeria. If
you are good in developing mobile applications of various kinds, here is your
opportunity to participate in this MTNApp Developers Challenge 2013. The competition is still open as at the time of publishing this post until 13th December 2013. With amazing prizes for the winners.
So How do I Apply for this Competition?
Step 1. You will have to register as an individual or a team.
That is if you belong to any team of app developers, you can register as a team.
Step 2.
Select the mobile app category you believe you are good in developing.
Developers will be expected to
submit applications into any of the following categories below.
=> Entertainment and
Lifestyle
=> Productivity
=> Games
=> Education
=> Health and wellness
=> Special
category for student submissions (undergraduate)
Shortlisting Criteria: The top 4 apps will be chosen from each
category based on number of people that downloaded the app and also be judged based on
the criteria listed below.
=> Originality of concept
=> Relevance of concept to the
market
=> Best user experience
=> Commercial viability.
=> Once you are shortlisted,
follow the next step below.
Step 3. Submit your final app before 24th October.
You
have from 24th July to 24th October, 2013 to create or
improve and submit your mobile app. Final submission is on 24th
October, 11.59 pm.
Winners will be announced on 13th December
2013. Oh! Before Christmas right? Enough flirting things for the winners ooo
hehehehe.
Note: Once you have submitted your app, send a mail with the
app(s) name and your developer account name to mtndeveloperchallenge@nexva.com
this is necessary.
Also do not forget to ask your friends and family members to
download your apps from MTN NextApps Store and use. You can even go ahead to
advertise you app for customers to download. Top 10 downloaders from customers
are rewarded weekly to encourage downloading. It is a win win opportunity.

overall prize for winners ranges from Hyundai IX 35, N1million, Samsung Galaxy
S4, free promotion of the app in the MTN Nextapps store for 6months and more.

=> A Chat Apps similar to WeChat social media chat.
