Problem solved for The Big Bang Theory: Simon Helberg and Kunal Nayyar signed new contracts with Warner Bros. TV, just in time for the CBS comedy’s delayed-by-a-week first table read yesterday. Jim Parsons, Johnny Galecki and Kaley Cuoco reached lucrative three-year deals earlier this week. Season 8 premieres Monday, September 22 at 8p.
IN THE NEWS
E! tapped social media darling Grace Helbig for a comedy/talk show pilot. Helbig starred on popular My Damn Channel web series Daily Grace before moving on to her own YouTube channel, it’sGrace, which now boasts over 1.8 million subscribers. "I love the Internet and I love television," Helbig tells Cynopsis. "I’d really love for them to consummate their relationship while you watch!"
Dish Network chairman Charlie Ergen told analysts Wednesday that the company’s budget streaming service targeting A18-35 will launch by the end of the year. "My concern is that we’re missing that whole generation," said Ergen. On Tuesday, Dish secured streaming rights for content from A+E Networks; earlier this year the satellite TV provider signed a deal with Disney for over-the-top rights for channels including ABC and ESPN.
Mike and Molly‘s Billy Gardell will host syndicated game show Monopoly Millionaires’ Club, a weekly one-hour companion series for the multi-state lottery game that launches in October. The national television show, slated for an early 2015 debut, will select contestants from lottery ticket holders who have registered their tickets online or via a smartphone app. "I’ve played this game with friends and family since 1979," said Gardell. "Hosting a big game show is a bucket list level type of job for me."

Comedy Central ordered a pilot for Sleight of Mouth, reports Deadline. Hosted by magician Justin William, the comedy/variety/magic show comes from Chris Hardwick and Alex Murray (@midnight), and Robert Morton (Late Show with David Letterman).
COMING UP
Here’s Lucy starts its run on Cozi TV Monday, August 11 at 4p. The net is a partner in the Lucille Ball Comedy Festival in the comedienne’s hometown of Jamestown, NY, taking place now through August 10.
The mystery surrounding missing priceless treasures is explored in Raiders of the Lost Art. New original series co-produced by Ovation and 3DD Productions premieres on Ovation Saturday, August 30 at 7p.
Add Maroon 5 to the lineup at the MTV Video Music Awards airing Sunday, August 24 at 9p. It’s the first time the band is performing at the event; their new album drops September 2.
DirecTV acquired BBC Three comedy Uncle, about an out-of-work musician, to launch on its Audience Network Wednesday, October 14 at 8:30p.
RETURNING SERIES
Season two of Food Network‘s Rewrapped launches Monday, September 8 at 8p. Culinary competition hosted by former boy bander Joey Fatone has contestants tasked with recreating snacks like Hostess Ho Hos and Lays potato chips.
Destination America‘s Hillbilly Blood returns with back-to-back eps Saturday, August 9 at 9p. First order of the day for Spencer and Eugene: build an all-terrain vehicle, with no money for parts.
Speaking of hillbillies: Reelz‘s Hollywood Hillbillies, back with new eps Tuesdays at 9p, will once again have a post-show on afterbuzztv.com. Webcasts will include interviews, episode breakdowns and calls from fans.
Season seven of Travel‘s Mysteries at the Museum premieres Friday, September 12 at 9p, with archival footage and recreations focused on a salacious scam involving a 1950s-era brassiere, and a Virgin Mary figurine "mutilated by supernatural means."
CASTING
Ryan Hansen (Bad Teacher) joins the cast of Bad Judge, opposite Kate Walsh. Mather Zickel (Reno 911!) had the role in the comedy’s pilot.
Kate Burton returns to Grey’s Anatomy for the ABC drama’s season 11 premiere, as the mother of Ellen Pompeo‘s character. Burton, who racked up two Emmy nods guesting on Grey’s, is nominated for an Emmy this year for her guest role on Scandal.
BRANDS & ADVERTISING
A new campaign for Chrysler‘s Dodge Dart features Craig Robinson (The Office) and Jake Johnson (New Girl) as neighbors, with Robinson’s character determined to keep his car pristine. About two dozen variations of "Don’t Touch My Dart" commercials will air on network and cable TV, as well as CollegeHumor.com. On the way: an interactive YouTube experience.

DISTRIBUTION & CARRIAGE
Charter struck a deal to carry the upcoming SEC Network, including authenticated access to live events on SEC’s digital platforms. The college sports net will now be available in 90 million homes at launch on August 14; whistle blows for first football game Thursday, August 28.
The X Factor UK, complete with Simon Cowell, hits American shores for season 11. Music channel AXS TV will broadcast the singing competition, with creator Cowell back in a judge’s seat, Sundays and Mondays starting August 31 at 8p, 24 hours after the UK broadcast. The U.S. version of the reality show was canceled in February after three seasons.

RATINGS
The season finale of Starz summer drama Power delivered a 2.9 HH rating and nearly 1.1 million viewers Live+SD, more than doubling its premiere numbers (1.3 HH and 462,000 viewers), according to Nielsen. The show begins on Encore Black Tuesday, August 12 at 10p, with a replay at 11p.
Against the 1.9/6 rating for A18-49 posted by ABC‘s CMA Music Festival, NBC‘s America’s Got Talent dipped four tenths in the demo week to week, to 2.0.
FX comedy Partners debuted Monday to 1.2 million viewers and .4 among A18-49, delivering 1 million viewers and .3 with a 9:30 ep.
As part of its quarterly earnings report, HBO parent company Time Warner said Game of Thrones‘ average viewership had grown to 19 million, counting DVR playback and streaming, a nearly 30 percent increase over season three.
Tuesday A18-49 Analysis: ABC won the most A18-49 viewers Tuesday with 1.9/6, according to Nielsen. ABC’s CMA Music Festival won 8p with 1.8/7, followed by 1.6/6 for Univision’s Mi Corazon Es Tuyo. ABC squeaked by NBC to win 9p, scoring 2.0/7 and 2.0/6 in the half hours, versus 1.9/6 and 2.0/6 for America’s Got Talent. Talent moved ahead at 10p with 2.1/7, versus 1.9/6 for the music awards.

Former CBS News President Ed Joyce died August 2. He was 81.
