Samantha Bee, host of TBS late-night series Full Frontal with Samantha Bee, presents A Very Special Full Frontal Special, bowing Wednesday, July 20 at 10:30p. According to a new report Monday by New York magazine, Roger Ailes days at Fox News could be coming to a close. The report, by Gabriel Sherman, said that Rupert Murdoch and his sons, James and Lachlan, have decided to remove the exec from his post following the sexual-harassment lawsuit leveled against him by former Fox News anchor Gretchen Carlson. Citing unnamed sources, the report suggested the execs, who run Fox News parent 21st Century Fox, were considering different strategies to have Ailes step down. “This matter is not yet resolved and the review is not concluded,” 21st Century Fox said in a statement.

Ron Meyer has signed a contract to remain Vice Chairman of NBC Universal for an additional five years. The veteran executive’s contract was set to expire in 2017.

USA Network has moved the premiere date of Shooter to fall. The move comes as gun violence has overtaken the news, with fatal shootings in Orlando, Minnesota, Baton Rouge and Dallas, generating media scrutiny and protests. Production continues on the series, but no specific premiere date has been set. Shooter stars Ryan Phillippe as a sniper and U.S. military vet who tries to clear his name after being wrongly accused of a crime.

After months of hearing that HBO’s Game of Thrones would consist of fewer episodes than usual and debut later, it was officially announced on Monday that the show’s new season will bow in a summer 2017 and consist of seven episodes. The series usually begins its seasons in April each year, so a shift to summer means Game of Thrones will be out of the running for TV Academy voters next year. According to Primetime Emmy rules, to be eligible a show must run between June 1 and May 31.

Zelda Williams will be the voice behind Freeform’s The Letter, a one-hour unscripted relationship show where friends challenge each other to better themselves through anonymous letters written to one other. Williams, who currently stars as Drew on the net’s Dead of Summer, will also serve as producer on the project. Series bows later this year.

The Mist began principal photography in Halifax, Nova Scotia on Monday.Spike TV ordered the series adapted from the Stephen King novella, which tells the story of a foreboding mist that arrives in a small town. “We intend to see this series develop into a signature show for Spike, and after hearing the pitch for Nova Scotia, we felt confident that the look, feel and the overall attitude of the province were right for this project,” said Sharon Levy, EVP, Original Series, Spike. Series premieres in 2017.
