With the news today, the Disney board will begin a broad search for Iger’s replacement.

BET Networks acquired the Soul Train brand from InterMedia Partners and The Yucaipa Companies. The network relaunched the Soul Train Awards in 2009. Assets acquired include one of the largest libraries of African-American, music-oriented content in the world, including more 1,100 television episodes and 40 television specials.

It’s a full year for Full Frontal with Samantha Bee. TBS ordered 26 episodes of its new series less than two months after star and exec-producer Samantha Bee entered the late-night landscape. Series, which offers a satirical take on weekly news, airs Mondays at 10:30p and is averaging 3.7 million viewers (L+7) per episode across TBS’s linear, digital and mobile platforms. The show is executive-produced by Bee, Jason Jones, Jo Miller, Miles Kahn and Tony Hernandez.

Nielsen and Dish Network signed a multiyear agreement to integrate Dish’s aggregated set-top-box data initially into Nielsen’s Local TV Measurement service across all 210 designated market areas. The agreement will also enable Nielsen to leverage Dish’s set-top-box data to complement many of its local and national products including Nielsen Scarborough, Nielsen Data Fusion, Nielsen Media Custom Insights, and multiple national insight services.

Ovation TV acquired US premiere rights to two documentaries from the distributor Terranoa. Picasso, The Legacy and Picasso: A Museum Reborn will premiere on the network in 4Q16.
