IN THE NEWS

It’s Fox News’ turn at bat, again, for a Republican presidential primary debate. The net’s fourth GOP event will air live from Salt Lake City on Monday, March 21, with returning hosts Bret Baier, Megyn Kelly and Chris Wallace. Invites will go to any candidate left standing.

CBS and the NCAA were not amused when the full lineup of March Madness games was shared on Twitter during Sunday’s Selection Show, 25 minutes into the two-hour broadcast. “We go to great lengths to prevent the tournament field from being revealed early and the NCAA took its usual measures to prevent this from happening,” said the NCAA in a statement. “Unfortunately, and regrettably, the bracket was revealed prior to our broadcast partners having the opportunity to finish unveiling it. We take this matter seriously and we are looking into it.” CBS Sports and Turner Sports carry the 67 games, starting on truTV tonight.

A drop of over 1 million video customers in 2015 in the cable, direct-broadcast satellite and telco sectors, despite a resurgence in cable subs and healthy DBS results, suggests a share shift rather than a retreat from cord cutting, according to a new report from SNL Kagan. The 12-month decline was the third consecutive drop. The report did note a bright spot: in the final months of 2015 the industry dipped by only 15,000 total customers, essentially matching the losses of 4Q14.

Wall Street Week is moving to Fox Business Network. The business news show, which aired from 1970-2005 on PBS and was revived by Anthony Scaramucci, founder of Skybridge Capital, in 2015 and ran on Fox affiliates, launches on FBN Friday, March 18 at 8p and 8:30p, with encore presentations Saturdays at 9p and 9:30p.

Oprah Winfrey will be on hand, along with fellow cast members and exec producers of OWN mega-church drama Greenleaf, for the show’s premiere at the Tribeca Film Festival next month, part of an expansion of the festival’s Tribeca Tune In television coverage. “TFF has long since championed storytelling in a multitude of ways, including traditional and online television platforms,” said festival director Genna Terranova. “Tribeca Tune In gives us the opportunity to invite people off their couches and share their love and curiosity for great storytelling together.”

The BBC apologized for a Top Gear shoot in London that drew criticism for a stunt that had host Matt LeBlanc and a driver doing donuts near a war memorial. The angle of images taken made it appear the memorial was closer than it really was, and “I would like to apologize unreservedly for what these images seem to portray,” said host Chris Evans. Last year, longtime host Jeremy Clarkson got the boot after he assaulted a producer, leading to a revamp of the show.

Turner Classic Movies will open the 7th annual TCM Classic Film Festival on April 28th with a 40th Anniversary screening of 1976 political thriller All The President’s Men. The festival, from April 28 – May 1 in Hollywood, honors Carl Reiner and Elliott Gould.

Panic! At The Disco is teaming up with Music Choice to give high school students a chance to submit music videos in an All American High School Film Festival category. Winning video of the Music Choice Presents: Panic! At The Disco Music Video Challenge will air on Music Choice On Demand, the Music Choice App and premiere at the 2016 AAHSFF.

Univision reality beauty competition Nuestra Belleza Latina is branching out, celebrating its 10th anniversary with the launch of a line of NBL dolls and perfume. “What each product represents brings a unique connection between our brand, our audience and Latinas in this country,” said Ignacio Meyer, SVP, enterprise development.

The popular Halloween Walking Dead haunted maze attraction is going year-round at Universal Studios Hollywood. The zombie drama’s fans (at least, those over age 13) can be scared witless at the “most intense, realistic Walking Dead experience ever,” said Talking Dead host Chris Hardwick.

Upcoming Cinemax horror series Outcast, from Walking Dead creator Robert Kirkman and Chris Black, will premiere Friday, June 3 – and has been renewed for a second season. “What we’ve been able to achieve on Cinemax, with its unprecedented creative freedom, frankly, almost scares me at times,” said Kirkman at SXSW.
