BRANDS AND ADVERTISING
When it comes to ad spend, TV and digital don’t compete – they complement, according to David Cooperstein, CMO at Simulmedia and author of a new report, “The Future of TV and Digital Video,” based on a survey conducted by The CMO Club and Simulmedia. “Marketers learned from digital over the past decade that advertising can be targeted finely, measured deeply, and tied back to specific objectives to drive sales or other impacts,” Cooperstein tells Cynopsis. “But reach still matters, and emotion is hard to deliver in banners and search. So aligning digital and TV strategies is the real future of marketing.”
Information and marketing company Access Intelligence (and parent company of Cynopsis) acquired AdMonsters, the conference and trade show company serving the online advertising operations, ad technology and digital media markets. “AdMonsters has been on the leading edge of the technological and strategic evolution of online media operations, technology, and monetization for many years,” said Don Pazour, CEO of Access Intelligence, adding that the acquisition will “fast-track our leadership position in the areas of advanced marketing, technology and media.”
