01.21.16
Good morning. It’s Thursday January 21, 2016, and this is your first early morning Sports briefing.
A new chapter for Rachel Nichols will debut on Feb. 18, when she hosts a new, daily series entitled The Jump for ESPN. The program premieres at 3:30p and come from ESPN’s Los Angeles studios with regular appearances by current and former NBA players, as well as ESPN analysts, reporters and insiders. In addition to hosting the new program, the recent Turner employee will also contribute to SportsCenter with commentary, interviews and features as well as serve as part-time host of Outside the Lines.
“The Jump is going to be a great big conversation about all the fun, serious, smart, crazy, big-issue, small-smile moments that make the NBA so fascinating,” Nichols said. “I’m thrilled ESPN is giving me the opportunity to help create and host this show, and that I’ll also have a voice on a wide range of sports and topics for SportsCenter, OTL and E:60 – shows I have so much respect and affection for.”
