Nature’s Coastal Holiday

Santa’s Light Parade

Santa’s Light Parade lights up downtown Crescent City starting at 6 p.m. Friday, Nov. 28, and marching a route from 5th and H streets, down H Street to 3rd Street, and then to K Street. Santa will end up on the plaza at 3rd and K streets to light the community Christmas tree and visit with his friends.

Transformational Music

Santa’s visit to Brookings-Harbor

Santa arrives on a Coast Guard boat for a visit to Brookings-Harbor at 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 6, starting at the Port of Brookings Harbor. After greeting friends at port’s Boardwalk, a parade of fire engines and other vehicles will take him to the pocket park at Chetco and Hillside avenues in downtown Brookings by 4 p.m. That’s just in time for the tree lighting ceremony there, along with caroling and treats for all. ChariTree Holiday Festival

The ChariTree Holiday Festival will display and auction 28 decorated trees on behalf of local nonprofits and charities, along with childrens activities, caroling, cookies and cider. Redwoods Candlelight Walk

Redwood National and State Parks will host its 25th annual Candlelight Walk through the ancient redwoods, 5-8 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 6, at the Prairie Creek Redwoods State Park visitor center. Participants will enjoy a ranger-led walk through the redwood forest lit by 200 luminarias, a campfire, storytelling by the North Coast Storytellers Association and refreshments. Dress warmly.
