Job Title: General Manager Sales

Location: Lagos

Purpose
The General Manager of Sales and Marketing is further responsible for development and implementation of sales strategy and setting commercial priorities for Fan Milk Plc.

In the leadership role, the General Manager of Sales and Marketing is responsible for implementing the values of Fan Milk Plc, and based on his understanding of the market and the customer drivers; continuously adapt the Sales and Marketing processes and the Sales and Marketing organization to meet customer and market demands presently and in the future.
Principal Accountabilities:

    Plays a leading role in development of the sales and marketing strategy
    Is responsible for the implementation and effective communication of the sales and marketing strategy including key directives and business goals in Fan Milk PLC
    Set sales targets for the sales organisation and ensures sales effectiveness and efficiency
    Prioritise sales and marketing resources ensure that ensure customer requirements is met.
    Define and monitor sales performance in the various sales channels
    Establish and manages strategic business relationships with key account customers
    Establish and manages the sales forecasting
    Drives market research, market intelligence and fact driven competitor analysis
    Leads, manage and develops the Customer Care function
    Drives customer, product and channel analysis and segmentation
    Lead, manage and develops the sales and marketing organisation to meet changes in the business environment and in the market.
    Set and communication key priorities and KPIs to sales and marketing managers.
    Improve efficiencies in cost, productivity and customer service through proactive pursuance of development in technology & systems as applicable locally.
    Execute appointments & dismissals of own direct reports subsequent in cooperation with Human Resource Management subsequent to approval by the Managing Director.
    Organize, coach, challenge, & develop staff within the organization
    Reinforce Fan Milk culture, values and reputation.

The ideal candidate has:

    Good knowledge of the FMCG market.
    Insight in the Food market and market drivers
    Experience with structured approach to customer relationship management.
    Negotiation Skills.

The ideal candidate has previously:

    Successfully delivered on set targets in dynamic and changing environments
    Developed new business on the back of existing investments and capabilities
    Worked in the FMCG industry
    Worked in West Africa or other African countries
