FACULTY VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT

The Department of Educational Foundations and Counseling Programs in Hunter College’s School of Education seeks candidates for a Doctoral Lecturer position effective late August 2017. As the Fieldwork Site Developer, the candidate will be responsible for supporting our graduate programs in Clinical Rehabilitation Counseling, Mental Health Counseling, and School Counseling.

Duties include: 1) Performs teaching, advising, and related faculty functions in area(s) of expertise. 2) Developing, maintaining, and evaluating internship and practicum field placements which involves recruiting and building relationships with new site staff including agency directors and school leadership. 3) Attending program, department, and School of Education meetings, where appropriate. 4) Attending and presenting information about the program at networking events.

QUALIFICATIONS

Ph.D. degree in area(s) of experience or equivalent. Also required are the ability to teach successfully, demonstrated scholarship or achievement, and ability to cooperate with others for the good of the institution.

A doctoral degree in counseling or psychology, or a related field, with 3 or more years of experience is preferred. Teaching and clinical supervision experience is preferred. All candidates must have a commitment to work in urban multicultural settings.

Compensation for rank falls within the following salary ranges:
Lecturer (Doctoral Schedule): $45,329-$71,725*

*Salary subject to new contract implementation
