CUNY School of Law (a part of the City University of New York), a nationally acclaimed three-year law school, located in one of New York City's most diverse boroughs, seeks a motivated and accomplished individual who will manage on- and off-campus recruiting activities along with application review processes.

Reporting to the Admissions Director, the Admissions Manager will serve as the Associate Director and their responsibilities will include but are not limited to the following:

* Manage a busy, service-oriented office and ensure effective and timely day-to-day admissions operations.

* Participate in the development and implementation of recruitment and admissions strategies in order to increase student enrollment and the Law School’s visibility.

* Assist the Director with maintenance and development of current and new technology systems.

* Provide leadership and cross-functional training to admissions staff

* Develop and maintain relationships with selected academic divisions/departments to coordinate recruiting efforts.

* Oversee open house and special events planning as it relates to new and prospective students

* Represent the law school at a variety of recruitment events

This position will include extensive travel including weekends. Evening and weekend work is required.

QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor's Degree and six years' related experience required, JD preferred. Experience working in an admissions office, a law school, or a not-for-profit administrative office is a plus. Strong computer skills essential; knowledge of admissions computer systems and prospect databases, social networking, Admit M, ACES2, MS Office Excel and Crystal Report writing experience preferred. The ability to exercise sound judgment, discretion, flexibility and multi-tasking in a confidential, professional setting is expected. Working independently as well as collaboratively in an environment characterized by heavy workloads, time pressure and client
interaction is crucial. Ability to work positively and proactively with a team and various
departments within the law school as well as external constituencies is also critical. Experience in staff supervision preferred.
