POSITION DETAILS

Reporting to the Assistant Dean of Student Affairs, the Director of Partnerships in the Office of Admissions and Recruitment at Hunter College will primarily be responsible for developing strategic partnerships for the Office of Admissions while directing the operation, which processes over 70,000 admissions applications a year, and oversees all aspects of the admissions process including Transfer Student Transcript Evaluation. S/he will solidify matriculation pathways under the Hunter Promise to encourage Intra-Hunter transfers into specific programs. S/he will provide leadership to the professional staff in the College's efforts to increase the number of qualified undergraduate students. S/he will ensure that admissions processes and tools provide seamless support to constituents, faculty and applicants. In addition, the Director will support Hunter’s transition to full Direct Admissions.
The Director will work closely with the Hunter College Dean’s Office of Arts & Sciences and other relevant departments to review and monitor current Articulation Agreements between Hunter and other CUNY colleges. In addition, S/he will research and develop Articulation Agreements with non-CUNY junior colleges for purposes of enhancing transfer student enrollment. S/he will work closely with the Office of Financial Aid to design and implement its outreach and communication strategies; additionally s/he will develop a series of workshops that build financial literacy for prospective and current students.
The Director will serve as member of the Assistant Dean’s senior management team in Admissions and Recruitment working in collaboration to achieve strategic goals and support the Division of Student Affairs’ priorities and efforts in student programming, financial wellness and literacy, and student retention.

QUALIFICATIONS

* Bachelor's Degree and eight years' related experience required.

* Master's Degree preferred

* Demonstration of increasingly responsible, administrative experience in higher education

* Experience in Undergraduate Admissions in a Public Institution as well as expertise in the applications of technology to these fields

* Excellent, writing, editing, organizational, interpersonal, and presentation skills

* Commitment to the values of the liberal arts education and appreciation for work in a diverse and fast paced work environment

* Oversees department budget including developing detailed proposals to support recruitment and admissions

* Evaluates and reports outcomes; uses information in statistical, fiscal, and other reports to make improvements to the recruiting process

* Performs related duties as assigned.
