Baruch College invites applications for the Director of Enrollment Management position. Reporting directly to the Vice President for Enrollment Management & Strategic Academic Initiatives (EMSAI), this position participates in leadership and management to the division with a focus on enrollment, establishing and maintaining best practices by developing consistent procedures through training and continual assessment. The Director of Enrollment Management integrates all aspects of the College's enrollment process including the implementation and evaluation of effective student-centered recruitment and selection, along with participation in strategic planning. The Director's primary outcomes are to participate in the long-term strategic enrollment enhancement of appropriately qualified students (regionally, nationally and internationally); provide highly effective data analysis to drive decisions supporting marketing; participate in the recruitment and admissions strategy; achieve enrollment goals and implement growth strategies to meet enrollment targets; and develop productive partnerships with internal college-wide departments, new technology and external influencers (parents, counselors, teachers, etc.). The Director will lead a team in the application of mathematical and statistical methods to educational, economic and behavioral data as well as quantitative analyses of actual enrollment trends and educational choice phenomena.
S/he will provide enrollment forecasting and empirical content based on academic and economic behavioral trends.

Duties and responsibilities are but not limited to:

* Directs assessment and program evaluation priorities and assists in strategies in collaboration with institutional research.

* Leads management decision-making processes for enrollment team and participates in resource allocation planning.

* Supports the campus strategic planning process, including institutional benchmarking; provides data to appropriate divisions to advance the institution; provides data and assists in academic program development as requested; and prepares reports on institutional progress towards meeting short and long term goals.

* Provides leadership and management in facilitating matters of administrative, enrollment and operational affairs.

* Coordinates with other divisional directors, campus officials, and external constituents on all matters of interest to the Vice President for Enrollment Management & Strategic Academic Initiatives.

* Identifies and incorporates the use of best practice web-based technology in recruitment, application, and enrollment.

* Administers and implements staff activities for a data-driven, market-sensitive, goal-oriented strategic recruitment plan to reach targeted regional, national, and international audiences.

* Leads efforts in formulating long-range strategic application/admission/enrollment policies that will support an integrated end-to-end enrollment management process.

* Manages the department's electronic data management process and ensures policies and procedures exist to optimize ongoing use.

* Develops and implements enrollment models and statistical reports; tracks and projects admissions; and develops student profile reports that indicate predictors of enrollment success.

* Provides direction and support in advancing strategic goals through the conduct of research and data collection on all campuses, designing assessment plans, establishing and managing data collection processes, gathering and inputting data, building reports, and developing and maintaining a system for collecting and communicating the results.

QUALIFICATIONS

* Bachelor's Degree and eight years' related experience required

* Advanced degree in statistics, econometrics, higher education, mathematics, and/or economics preferred

* Experience in enrollment management modeling or a related field preferred

* Ability to think critically, strategically, and creatively regarding the enrollment management process

* Strong organizational, data, and communication skills

* Experience working with Student Information Systems as well as strong computer literacy and familiarity and comfort with spreadsheets and databases

* Experience with data reporting and analysis for enrollment management decision-making required

* Partners with appropriate College units to apply coordinated enrollment and retention plans which provide services to students and applicants in an efficient and effective manner

* Administers data analyses and reports development related to critical enrollment issues; presents results to facilitate executive decision making

* Oversees department budget and advises on allocation of College funds regarding enrollment efforts across other units

* Manages professional and clerical staff

* Performs related duties as assigned.
