The CUNY School of Law's mission is to diversify the legal profession and to train the next generation of public interest lawyers. The successful candidate for Development Manager must have demonstrated ability to work in a culturally diverse environment and be passionate about social justice.

Reporting to the Executive Director of Development, the Development Manager for Donor Relations and Special Events ensures donor relations strategies are in place and systematically followed as part of the larger development strategy to manage and enhance donor relationships for the law school. Additionally, will build and manage relationships with new and existing leadership-level annual fund donors with the intent to move them along the donor continuum from annual donor to major gift donor, all in support of CUNY School of Law and the students we serve.

Responsibilities include:

* Plan and implement fundraising strategy to personalize the experience of Leadership-level ($1,000-$4,999) Annual Donors with the intent to ultimately increase their giving frequency and amount

* Analyze giving tends and data. Maintain weekly status report on events and leadership giving activities, proposals awaiting response, and declined proposals

* Works directly with senior administration, Foundation Board members, faculty, and others who will participate in donor cultivation, solicitation and stewardship.

* Assist the Executive Director of Development in coordinating special fundraisers and donor engagements

* Plan special event fundraisers and donor engagement/recognition/stewardship activities/events

* Oversee the budget for all individual giving events and outreach

* Work with the development team to create a pipeline of donor prospects from the regular givers within the annual giving program, identifying planned giving and potential four and five-figure major donors.

* Maintain files and ensure all activity is reflected in the donor database; provide other support as directed

This position may include evening and weekend hours.

QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor's Degree and six years' related experience required.
