The BBC is in the middle of pushing out an update for its official iPlayer Radio app on the Google Play Store. This upgrade transports a brand new playlist feature, entitled “Playlister,” together with a multitude of bug fixes, stability improvements and speed enhancements.

From now on, when users are listening to any BBC live radio broadcast within the iPlayer Radio application they will have the ability to tap the little “plus” icon in the top right-hand corner of the app to add the current track that’s playing to their own custom playlist if they so desire.

Once it has been added, users will be able to save the playlist to their personal BBC account, where they will have the means to export it to several popular music services, including Deezer, Spotify and YouTube. Playlister also allows listeners to discover new music and radio stations by following BBC presenters’ personal playlists, as well as their friends “Playlister Playlists.”

The full changelog for the update can be seen below:

BBC Playlister – get more of the music you love

Anytime you hear a piece of music you love on the BBC, hit the Playlister ‘+’ button and that track will be waiting in Playlister for you to enjoy later from your mobile, tablet or computer.

As well as building up your own personal playlist of tracks, you can export and listen to them on your chosen music service and discover new music with recommendations from across the BBC.

The update is already live and available to download on the Google Play Store – simply click the source link below to do so.
