Holy shit, it’s all here!

POP Montreal has been doling out line-up announcements since May, but today they’ve finally announced the complete festival line-up, including Film POP, Art POP and POP Symposium news and a novel venture called Resto-POP-UP.

Among the newly announced music acts are garage rockers the Sonics, Prison Garde (fka Sixtoo), Acadian act les Hay Babies, local rapper Chuggo, electro-pop singer/producer Doldrums, Liverpool psych band All We Are, Vancouver pop band Frankie, and free closing party faeturing DJ Torquil Campbell (the singer from Stars), Radiohead cover band Brother’s Got the Bends and super Smiths band the Smiffs (who some of you will remember from our Halloween party last year).

POP will also be transforming part of the Rialto into a Clubhouse, where Montreal chefs Michelle Marek (Foodlab), Danny St-Pierre (Qu’est-ce qu’on mange pour souper), Owen Pallett (the musician), Nantha Kumar (Fabergé) and Beaver Sheppard (Bethlehem XXX) will prep a unique snack menu while guest DJs play from 7 p.m. till 3 a.m.

In Film POP news, the festival will be hosting the Quebec premiere of Arcade Fire documentary The Reflektor Tapes, directed by Khalil Joseph (who’s worked with FKA Twigs, Kendrick Lamar and Flying Lotus), and a midnight screening of Showgirls at Cinéma l’Amour.

This year’s POP Symposiums will include Montreal’s won Andy “Sugar Sugar” Kim, while Swiss artist Olaf Breuning will speak and present an exclusive video as part of Art POP.

It’s all happening Sept. 16–20. See ALL the newly announced events below, and view previous line-up announcements here: 1st wave,  2nd wave, 3rd wave.
