1. Holly, mistletoe and poinsettia plants are poisonous to pets-make sure they are kept in places your pet cannot reach.
2. Both live and artificial tree needles are sharp and indigestible-keep your tree blocked off or otherwise inaccessible to your pet.
3. Place glass ornaments high up on your tree and out of your pet’s reach.
4. Avoid using tinsel, which can obstruct your pet’s airways if swallowed.
5. Avoid using edible ornaments, and make sure your pet can’t access holiday tree water.
6. Keep people food out of reach from your pet.
