The 25 September 2013 Cyber Security Summit in NYC is shaping up to be an incredible event, largely because of the mix of world class speakers. It has also attracted a great mix of technology and services firms ready to make a difference now in enterprise-wide cyber defense.

If you can attend please register now. You can use our promo code (see below) for a 50% discount.

On a personal note, the biggest thing that excites me about this summit is the number of personal friends and business associates and client firms that are speaking. There are people speaking who have I looked up to for years, like Marc Sachs, who was instrumental in teaching me the beauty of how TCP/IP works in the late 1990′s, or Jeff Stutzman, who at the same time was proving that smart engineering could tackle massive data challenges no one else had ever attempted in cyber security. Other friends speaking include Bob Butler of IO. Bob has extensive experience in industry and government including helping the DoD relook its end to end cyber strategy. John Prisco of Triumfant and Bruce Gilley of Fixmo and Bryan Ware of Haystax have me playing advisory roles for their firms. And Robert Rodriguez of SINET has pulled me into his collegial collaborative efforts to help accelerate cyber security technology into enterprises. Brian White of Chertoff Group is another familiar/friendly face known for moving conversations forward in this space. And Guy Filippelli is and entrepreneur with a track record of proven past performance who is now fielding a capability every enterprise will need, a capability that will serve in ways far beyond cyber security. Tony Cole is a highly regarded trusted professional I have worked with for 15 years.

These and the others I don’t know so well are all very deeply networked individuals and I imagine you also know many of the players at this event. I would highly recommend you check it out.
