The Salute to CSI at the Paley Center in Los Angeles has been moved up a day. It's now Wednesday the 16th instead of Thursday the 17th. Plan accordingly. The reason given was so that "more" from the CSI world will be able to participate, so we'll see what that means. Oh, and Shane announced on Twitter that there will be no Meet & Greet with the stars after the presentation and screening. There are just too many fans in one space to make even a fraction of them happy. I'll be happy just to be there. Fingers crossed we make our flights on time and don't get stuck in LA traffic!

They are filming the series finale Immortality now and all involved have been very generous with sharing photos and sentiments and posts and tweets. It's a grand time to be a CSI fan, even if it is our last hurrah. There is our epic journey to Hollywood to look forward to: oct2565, slanway, cyndybeckham, sidle77, and I are all going to be seeing Billy Petersen, Jorja Fox, Marg Helgenberger, Ted Danson, Wallace Langham and no doubt others on stage at the Paley Center in L.A. talking about CSI and saying goodbye. I've bumped up the page created by Calim11 to the 3rd slot in the Main Menu (Chapter Three) for now. I encourage all to add your photo albums and so on and link them to this page.

Given that the series finale falls when we usually have the Fan Fiction of the Year Awards, we have pushed back the date for the kickoff to October. That means you have 3 more months of eligibility. Sometimes I think I have accepted there will be no more seasons of CSI and then I see a CBS ad thanking us for making them the Most Watched Network and CSI is not represented. It was the 18th most watched show in the US last year and still got cancelled. It just makes me sad.

I switched up the Menu a bit. It's long past due to put Season 15 Episodes and Spoilers to bed, so I moved that under Episode Guide. That made room for a long overdue change/ improvement; to move the CSI Forever Online Fanfiction Challenges to prominence and easy access. Authors continue to join just to enter the challenges and be eligible for the Fan Fiction of the Year Awards. Now they can find them on the front page and the third slot on the Menu. That's big draw. CBS has still not made an official announcement regarding a Season 16. Rumors and speculation abound, but until there is an official bulletin, please don't panic and spread them further! I firmly believe there will be more to CSI than the unsatisfying End Game. I also believe that the cast and crew have been told privately to expect to return, but are sworn to secrecy. I will enjoy telling the Cancellation Bear and various gossipy zines that They Were Wrong. Stay tuned. An announcement is expected this week.
I feel like I have been holding my breath for a month or more, and so can't concentrate on working on the site. I apologize for my absence. And most importantly, whatever the fate of CSI this year or next, this site is not going away. CSI Forever!

A warm CSIFO welcome to SunniWillows! Some of you may know her as Sunni Foty on FB. I'm encouraged that she has introduced herself and is interested in maybe joining our FF challenges and participating. So many people join, never answer their messages, never make a single contribution, never do anything...kind of baffles me why they bother to join at all. Sunni was hesitant to join because she doesn't ship GSR and I reassured her that we welcome CSI fans of all flavors, preferences, nationalities, ships, interests, and motivations. We love our CSI.
