About to purchase a 2014 AWD Honda CR-V EX-L without Navigation with a plan to eventually upgrade the stock EX-L radio and with an ANDROID based AFTERMARKET combo Navigation system when the right system hits the market.
It seems like there is a market for:
CHOICE 1 Requirements:
• Android 4+ based with Android Smart Phone / Android tablet familiar look and feel
• Google Maps for GPS
• Full integration with EX-L Steering Controls
• Able to use EX-L back up camera
• DVD / CD
• Full iPod integration
• Able to use EX-L amplifier (Desirable)
• Other FM feeds?
Choice 2 Requirements:
• As above but use aftermarket amplifier if EX-L amp can’t be used
From what I have seen I don’t think we are quite there yet but I would love to be convinced. If not I would expect a product like this to be on the market within 18 months.
