MSC Cruises offers some great All Inclusive drinks packages, which takes the guesswork out of how much your bar bill will be at the end of your cruise. The most popular is the Allegrissimo Basic package, and I give details below.
Allegrissimo Basic All Inclusive Package for Adults
As at summer 2014 the price of this package is £20 per person per day of the cruise, and it covers a lot of different drinks including well known brands. The following gives you an indication of these drinks, but the specific brands are subject to change and availability.
Draft beers such as Heineken, Amstel, Newcastle Brown and Murphy’s Red
Wine by the glass, including white, red, rose and sparkling
Cognac & Brandy including Courvoisier VS, Cardinal Mendoza and Metaxa *****
Whisky including Jim Beam, Ballantine’s Finest, J&B, Johnnie Walker Red Label, Jameson’s Irish and Bell’s
Vodka including Smirnoff, Stolichnaya and Moskowskaya
Gin including Gordon’s and Beefeater
Rum including Bacardi Blanco, Captain Morgan Spiced and Myer’s
Tequila including Cuervo Gold and Cuervo Silver
Liqueurs including Limoncello, Drambuie, Cointreau, Bailey’s Irish Cream Kahlua and Amaretto Disaronno
Sherry & Port including Harveys Bristol Cream and Port Sandeman Red
Aperitifs including Campari Soda, Martini Bianco, Rosso & Dry, Ricard, Ouzo and Raki
Cocktails from a selection on the bar menu, made from these spirits
Hot drinks such as teas, coffees and chocolate
Mineral water, fruit juices, and soda drinks including Coca Cola, Fanta, Sprite, Bitter Lemon etc
Takeaway ice cream in a cone or a cup
Children aged 3 to 17 would need to purchase their version of the package which, as at summer 2014, is £11 per child per day. They would be able to have the non-alcoholic items above, as well as virgin cocktails and milkshakes.
Please note the following important points with regard to the All Inclusive drinks packages.
Drinks can be obtained in the restaurants and bars, but not all drinks are available in all bars on the ship, for example Murphy’s Red and Newcastle Brown
Room service, water in the cabin and mini bar drinks in the cabin are excluded
The package must be purchased for the full cruise, and not just certain days
You must book the package at least 21 days before departure
The same package must be booked by all guests occupying the same cabin, or just travelling together and wishing to eat at the same table, including minors who must book the Child version of the package
There is an Allegrissimo Premium package available which includes all of the above, as well as premium brands of drinks such as Cognac Remy Martin XO, Glenfiddich 12Y, Bombay Sapphire etc, and also includes drinks from your mini bar, as well as room service. As at summer 2014 the price is £35 per day for adults and £18 per day for children.
These packages are currently available for cruises to Canary Islands, Mediterranean, Northern Europe, United Arab Emirates and Antilles, including MSC Grand Voyages to Winter destinations and MSC Grand Voyages from Canary Islands, United Arab Emirates and Antilles). An alternative package is available for Caribbean cruises and MSC Grand Voyages to the Caribbean, so call me for details
