Newbold Verdon Christmas Lights are due to be switched on at 6.00pm on Saturday 28th November 2015, and there will be plenty going on in the village from 3.30pm. There will be plenty for people to do, including Santa in his sleigh with gifts for children, fairground rides, christmas stalls and even a hog roast to name but a few.
There will be a marquee in the garden of the Jubilee pub (postcode LE99NP), where you can get hot drinks and look at various stalls. GoCruise with Ian will be there, and you can enter a free draw on his stand to win an M&S Hamper worth £50.
Local schools and churches are involved, and there will be a torchlight procession through the village in time for the Christmas Lights switch-on at 6.00pm. Enjoy the music and carol singing, and i have heard that there might even be some ‘snow’.
