Crystal Bach (built 2017) is one of the top-luxury riverboats (advertised as “river yachts”) in the Crystal River Cruises fleet – with fleetmates Crystal Mahler (sister-ship), Crystal Debussy, Crystal Ravel and Crystal Mozart. All Crystal Bach cabins are outside-view staterooms. Categorized as suites, these accommodations range in size from 20 m2 / 220 ft2 (river-level cabin) to 70 m2 / 750 ft2 (2-bedroom suite). Among their amenities and best features are the first in the river cruising industry king-size beds, large-sized bathrooms and walk-in wardrobes, 5-star luxury hotel cabin amenities and services. The number of cabin categories is 5 (max capacity of 4 guests per stateroom).

All Crystal Bach cabins offer the following amenities and services (at no extra charge): King-size beds (convertible to 2 twins), deluxe bedding sets (Scandinavian duvets, pillow menu, King-size pillows, fine Egyptian cotton linens and towels), private bathroom with WC, double vanity (sink, drawers, towel shelf), glass-door shower stall (overhead plus hand-held showerheads), Jacuzzi bathtub, brand hairdryer, power sockets (110 V / 220 V), ETRO premium bath products (incl terry bathrobes, plush slippers, shower caps, toiletries /shampoo, body lotion, conditioner, bath salts), lounge/seating area, vanity/writing desk, armchair, double sofa (some serve as 3rd bed), walk-in closet (shelving, full-height hanging, removable lower rail), Nespresso coffee maker, adjustable-extendable table (coffee/dining), refrigerator / mini-bar (stocked with complimentary beverages – soft drinks, beer, bottled water), wall-mounted 40-inch HD TVs (satellite reception, movies on demand, infotainment system, “View From the Bridge” /real time web cam views), alarm clock, direct-dial phone, personal safe (hidden in the closet), hand-made artworks, nightstands (bedside lamps, USB ports, wireless charge pad), individual air-conditioning, underfloor heating system (including in bathrooms), laptop Data Port, 110V/220V power sockets, welcome gifts (Champagne, chocolates, flowers).

Both Two-Bedroom Crystal Suites (category CS) are located on Deck 2. These are the ship’s largest accommodations with separate Master Bedroom, Second (Guest) Bedroom, Living Room and two Bathrooms. Master Bedroom is furnished with a facing the window bed, floor-ceiling sash window (forming French Balcony), pop-up flat TV. The Master Bathroom has a separate whirlpool bathtub and a fixed (non-opening) window. The Living Room has a fireplace, large-size TV, drop down bed (convertible to writing desk), seating area (sofa, table, 2 armchairs), floor-ceiling sash window (forming French Balcony). Both Bedrooms have direct access to their corresponding bathrooms.

Upper deck suites (categories S1 and S2 on deck 2) are with double sofa (convertible to 3rd bed) and a French balcony (floor-ceiling sash window).

Lower deck suites (categories S3 and S4 on deck 1) are with double sofa (non-convertible to bed) and one fixed (non-opening) window positioned near the ceiling. These accommodations are also referred to as “swan cabins” for being partially submerged (under the waterline).

On request, roll-away beds are provided to all cabins, but are subject to availability.

In-cabin smoking is not allowed.

Butler service (upon request) is complimentary and available to all passengers (regardless suite grades). Butler service is also inclusive of gratuities and offers shoeshine, packing-unpacking, laundry-pressing-dry cleaning, private arrangements, in-cabin dining (Hors d’oeuvres, canapes).

Children under 18 must be accompanied by an adult (parent, legal guardian or other 21+ yo with signed by a parent “Parental Consent Guardianship Form”. The form must be received by Crystal River Cruises up to 30 days prior to departure.

Crystal Bach Deck Plans Review

Crystal Bach cruise ship deck plan has a total of 67 staterooms for 110 passengers, served by 85 crew/staff. The boat has no medical facilities.

Crystal River Cruises Bach ship has 4 passenger decks, 3 restaurants, 5 lounges and bars, 1 glass elevator (connecting decks 1-2-3 only), passenger laundry facility (self-service), gym and spa facilities, glass-domed atrium area.

Unlike most newbuild riverboat, Bach has no swimming pool and jacuzzies, but do have electric bicycles and water toys (crafts, jet skis and kayaks) offered complimentary to all passenger to use in the ports along the river cruise itinerary.

Crystal Bach is an all-inclusive luxury river ship, which complimentary amenities and services include:

All drinks (including alcohol) – fine wines and champagne, premium spirits, bottled water, specialty coffee and soft drinks, fresh juices

Choice of one of two guided excursions (from the line’s “Crystal Adventures” tour program) offered in each port of the cruise itinerary. The Crystal’s “Active Exploration Adventures” tour programming allows passengers to keep fit while doing sightseeing ashore.

Gratuities (incl for housekeeping/hotel, bar and wait staff), butler service, 24-hour in-room dining (by the Main Restaurant’s menu), 24-hour room service, self-service laundry (detergent is provided), housekeeping (twice a day, evening turndown service).

Afternoon Tea, Open-Bar service

Complimentary Wi-Fi Internet, free of charge Internet (available to all guests regardless of cabin category) up to 60 min PP per day. For the Crystal Suites the free Internet offer is for 90 min PP per day.

All dining venues on this luxury river yacht feature premium linens (by Garnier-Thiebaut), Riedel crystal, deluxe china (by Villeroy&Boch).

Airport transfers (embarkation-disembarkation days only) are provided complimentary even to passengers with independent air travel arrangements.

Cruise-only booked passengers may add airfare at extra cost.

Solo travel cruise prices include 130-200% supplement per person, and are based on double occupancy fares. Single supplement fares are calculated before promotional savings. They are capacity-controlled and may be withdrawn at any time.

Crystal Bach Deck 1 Plan

The staff and crew cabins and lounge area are located aft – next to the passenger rooms. Adjacent to them are the ship’s Propulsion-Engine Room and fuel tanks.

Ballast tanks and fresh-water tanks are located forward.

Main Deck 1 has a central-location sweeping staircase and a passenger lift accessing Middle Deck 2 and Upper Deck 3. In the elevator area (starboard) is located the Guest Laundry room.

Cruise cabins from 101 to 120, all of which are River Suites (swan cabins) in categories S3 and S4.

Crystal Bach Deck 2 Plan – Lobby

The Atrium’s Lobby level has the ship’s Reception Desk. This is a 24-hour guest services desk providing information, assistance, cashier services, Crystal River Cruises tours and excursions information. Here can be found the ship’s Cruise Director for information on ports, tour itineraries, daily scheduled onboard activities, etc.

Entrance is an indoor area used during embarkation/disembarkation in ports of call.

The Pantry is a 24-hour open coffee-tea corner offering complimentary fruit basket, sparkling water, pastries, cookies.

Cruise cabins from 201 to 252, most of which are River Suites (French Balcony cabins) in categories S1 and S2. Here are also located the boat’s 2-Bedroom Suites (cabin numbers 225 and 228) in category CS.

Crystal Bach Deck 3 Plan – Promenade

Palm Court is the ship’s show lounge with a stage for live performances (by itinerary-based local dancers and musicians) and grand piano performances (by a resident pianist) and singalongs. The lounge also features a large dance floor for the themed dancing parties nightly. The Palm Court has a glass-dome cover allowing natural sunlight, floor-ceiling window walls, comfortable seating, live plants for decoration, its own full-service bar. The lounge also serves the Crystal line’s onboard enrichment program by hosting daily expert lectures, media presentations and port talks (by the boat’s Cruise Director).

There is a fore-located Outdoor Seating Area (at the boat’s front). This is a relaxation area furnished with padded loungers and small tables.

Bistro is a casual dining venue served by its own bar. The Bistro also doubles as the boat’s Library (has shelved books).

Main Restaurant is complimentary, waiter-served Dining Room with open seating. All meals are at fixed times. The Restaurant features an open kitchen (show galley allowing guests to see their food being prepared), panoramic views from floor-ceiling windows (portside and starboard), luxury dining amenities (table linens, quality china, cutlery, glassware), gourmet cuisine with classic dishes and also local (itinerary-based) cuisine specialties.

Buffet is a self-service restaurant that opens only for Breakfast.

Promenade is an outdoor deck area located starboard.

The ship’s wellness complex is located aft. It consists of Fitness Center (equipped with TechnoGym machines), a separate Gym Studio (for yoga classes) and Spa (Sauna, one treatment room for massages).

A second (aft) Restaurant has an additional outdoor terrace seating and provides access to the outdoor Promenade area (more info coming soon).

Crystal Bach Deck 4 Plan – Sun

Navigation Bridge (called Wheelhouse on riverboats) is passenger accessible. The structure is hydraulic and can be lowered when the ship passes under low bridges.

There are all three Skylight domes (glass-roof covers) over the Palm Court lounge, the Atrium and the Fitness Center.

Bar & Grille serves the sundeck area with fast food and beverages (all complimentary). Its structure is also hydraulic (can be lowered). The bar has a large-size flat TV and an outdoor seating area.

Pavilion is a covered seating area with floor-ceiling windows, 4-seat tables and chairs.

The Sun Deck is accessible only by stairs from Upper Deck 3. The entire deck 4 is enclosed by glass railings and equipped with plenty of padded loungers and deck chairs for relaxation and sunbathing.
