I know I don’t attend WODS at CrossFit Springfield anymore as I’ve moved to Georgia, but I wanted to share with you all a glimpse of my journey. 1 year ago today, I stepped into CFS after recently finding out I had metabolic syndrome (pre-diabetes) and that it wasn’t a matter of if I would get diabetes, but rather when. Shortly after joining, we were told to record our pg-13 goals. I set 3: run a 5k, get any type of pull-ups, and lose 50lbs. I have met and exceed all my goals. I have ran 3 5ks, can complete WODS with banded pull-ups and have lost 60 lbs. I couldn’t not have asked for a better place to learn about fitness and nutrition. I want to thank all my coaches who were instrumental in helping me build my foundation to becoming the best version of myself. I’ve attached a before and after picture of my 1 year at crossfit. You all have truly saved my life and for that I am very thankful.
