If you’ve been following my work very long, you may have noticed that I like working with lighter weight yarns, especially when making a project for a baby. This amazing blanket was designed by Lucille LaFlamme for her book “Heirloom Baby Blankets”, published in 1994 by The Needlecraft Shop. The current copyright holder, Annie’s Crafts, has graciously made this one pattern from the book available for free download.
What I love best about working with the lighter weight yarns is that you get so much yardage. This entire blanket was completed with only two skeins of Red Heart Soft Baby. Just imagine having two skeins of yarn and turning it into this lace heirloom masterpiece. Beautiful!
