Worked up an appetite after checking out the sights in Hvar? Check out Fig…

Whilst not the easiest place to find, you’ll love it once you get there. Located on a charming side street of downtown Hvar, Fig is a relaxed and fun place to get some great food and interesting drinks. Fig restaurant in Hvar has proven popular since opening last year and is currently rated number 2 on TripAdvisor.

“We are a different type of restaurant focusing on vegetarian cuisine and incorporating local produce into new and interesting dishes,” Fig co-owner and chef Geoff Bratton tells us.

“After opening our hostel in 2013 (Earthers Hostel), we saw a need for “something a little different” – our tagline- and decided to open a restaurant last year. With my long experience as a yacht chef and my business partner’s years in some of the best bars in Melbourne we thought we could make a special place where people could come and enjoy the best of what Hvar has to offer,” he adds.

The menu includes such things as Fig & Ricotta flatbread, Tomato & Onion Jam flatbread, Strawberry, Balsamic Glaze & Mache salad, Honey Roasted Root Vegetables with Hummus, Watermelon, Prosciutto, Red Onion & Feta Salad and more.

Fig is open everyday from 9 am to 11 pm and is located, from the main square and facing St Stephens church, 20 meters down a little alleyway between restaurants Mizzarola and Ex Rocco. Look out for the logo at the end of the alleyway.
