As a Financial Controller you will be responsible for appraising new investment opportunities of existing and new retail & F&B brands. You will be expected to critically review the performance of various investments against the projections, discuss the corrective action plans in all areas with specific emphasis on maximising business profitability with brand operating teams, commercial review the agreements relating to the new brands; as well as, financial and commercial review w of acquisitions in retail & F&B sectors.
The job holder has a key management position within the Retail division and influences various retail investment decisions and also contributes to the growth and profitability of the business.
About You
The ideal candidate would be commercially oriented, process-oriented, possess excellent staff & task managerial skills, natural leader, pay close attention to detail, ensure compliance with laws and policies and have analytical thinking skills. They must have strong analytical skills, facilitating decision making at all levels of the business
Additionally this role will require a professional degree in Finance and Accounting, high degree of commercial awareness spanning all business functions, 8 - 12 years experience with at least 5 years in a management position in a large organisation.
