Job Purpose:
Managing delivery of the strategic training plan as defined by SVP CCT to support the Service Delivery business plan. This role will make sure we’re developing the skills and capabilities of our onboard leaders (Pursers and SFS’s) to deliver the defined Emirates customer experience and support the growth and evolution of our fast growing business.
JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES
•Strategy direction
Define and implement a dynamic model for delivery of leadership training and development of the cabin crew community. Provide guidance and input to the Service Delivery leadership development philosophy making sure it aligns and reflects the Emirates leadership approach. Support CCT direction and overall business strategy, constantly updating to make sure cabin crew are able to deliver EK product consistently and to a high standard.
•Best practice learning principles
Design and deliver high quality training programmes that meet our business and regulatory requirements based on long term strategic plans set out by SVP CCT. Manage team to ensure best practice and mandatory international standards are met. This includes continued development of blended learning environment through the Learning Resource Centre (LRC) and long term development of e-learning resources utilised by cabin crew population. Keep abreast of industry trends and latest techniques and advances in learning technology. Make sure training design and delivery meets the changing needs of our crew demographic. Benchmarking within and outside the industry for best practice in leadership development.
•Performance and professional development of team
Provide leadership to the training team by identifying and setting clear objectives so delivery of training requirements are in line with business needs and Service Delivery and Corporate objectives. Plan and implement continuous professional development of the team giving guidance on their performance and development plans. Continually grow their professional skills and knowledge, and motivate and inspire the team
•Driving business process improvements (BPI)
Drive business process improvements to ensure Emirates remains a market leader in the field of Cabin Crew leadership training. Conduct external research and benchmarking to make sure our strategy, content and delivery model is positioned to deliver best-in-class results. Review and evaluate feedback to identify and implement improvements to make sure we are fully leveraging delivery platforms to meet the dynamic and mobile nature of the cabin crew workforce.
•Cross-functional/stakeholder relationships
Liaise with relevant stakeholders within Service Delivery such as Cabin Crew Managers, Business Planning & Development, Duty Free, Catering etc and corporately such as Group Medical Training, Security Training, Corporate Training in the design and delivery of leadership training programmes. Build relationships with stakeholders, networking with internal and industry colleagues and relevant related industries and regulatory bodies. Keep abreast of changes to international standards, techniques and innovations, alongside EK developments such as new products or destinations. Translate this information into training programmes to continuously improve the standard of training delivered. Assist Recruitment/cabin crew management to select high caliber candidates by providing continuous feedback regarding the quality of recruits and identify trends or concerns which arise.
•Training sponsor for projects.
Proactively maximise opportunity to share CCT expertise and experience and manage the assignment of required training resources as the CCT Sponsor for projects both within Service Delivery and Corporately. Represent the interests of CCT in a wider forum.
