The Research Program Coordinator will reinforce the Research team in the effective implementation of the KAUST’s program evaluation program and plan for KAUST-supported funding programs. Regular documentation of processes, challenges and lessons learned will be a vital function for this position.

Responsibilities include:
• In consultation with the Program Evaluation Administrator, take the lead in establishing the Management Information System (MIS) for the Evaluation and Performance Assessment program and for data capture and reporting;
• Develop and update evaluation and assessment tools, instruments, and reporting templates for tracking progress of the portfolios of research awards and programs;
• Support review of Award project plans, targets and key performance indicators;
• Support the Unit with the implementation of the Unit activities for strengthening the capacities of the stakeholders and quality in data collection, data management, and data control Support the processing data (collection, analysis, reporting, and archiving) with the aid of manual and electronic tools
• Compile periodic technical reports and cull report data;
• Support the production of periodic evaluation standardized reports as well as special analytical and informational reports as needed.  
• Inform other Units of evaluation and assessment implementation and action requirements;
• Follow-up on implementation of the evaluation and performance assessment framework;
• Assist Evaluation and Performance Assessment staff with arranging and facilitating site visits, external evaluations, workshops and meetings, serving as the recorder for selected workshops and meetings, as needed;
• Provide administrative and technical support to Unit staff on Evaluation and Performance Assessment during project implementation;
• Support Unit team members to document and disseminate lessons learned and best practices; and
• Follow and promote timely and correct archiving of the different tools for program evaluation through contact and collaboration with the stakeholders included in the implementation plan.

Essential Skills:
• Knowledge and experience with management centered on results, including formulation of performance indicators, methods of collection, and quality control of data;
• Experience with organization and implementation of training programs;
• Demonstrated capacity to work as a member of a team and with various stakeholders, including senior management, faculty, and others; 
• Demonstrated abilities to use software spreadsheets (MS Excel), word-processing (MS Word), databases (MS Access and/or MS SQL), and the Internet;
• Demonstrated ability to prepare written and to give oral reports in English;
• Excellent quantitative and qualitative skills;
• Excellent communication skills (both written and oral); and
• Willingness to be a team player.

Required Education & Experience:
• Bachelor’s degree in statistics and/or social sciences, consisting of courses in research methods linked to the practices of monitoring and evaluation.
• Minimum three year experience includes at least general administrative and technical support experience working with databases, electronic file maintenance and performing general clerical, logistic and data management office support. This experience must show that you have the ability to learn the particular knowledge and skills needed to perform the duties of this position.
