To provide legal counsel and support the internal departments of the client through legal consulting including contracting, due diligence, litigation
Job Description
-Preparation and review various of various legal matters including but not limited to contracts regularly required by the business to ensure that the best interests of the company are protected at all times (. lease, sale and purchase, asset management, consultancy, construction, financing and etc…)
-Provision of legal advice on all types of matters related to the company’s business.
-Liaising with third parties, various regulatory bodies and governmental authorities.
-Review of litigation Briefs filed by or against the company. Attend, as and when required, with the company’s external lawyers, Court proceedings to ensure the Company’s interests are properly represented.
-Participation in negotiations with relevant line managers and third parties for concluding commercial
transactions.
-Preparation of legal notices, replies and other types of correspondence.
-Preparation and assistance in the preparation of petitions and memorandum of defences.
-Assistance in corporate legal affairs. (. company registration and renewal matters, safe keeping of company records, Minutes drafting General Assemblies/Board Resolutions, authentication of legal instruments and etc…)
- As and when required, undertaking any additional task(s) to support the company in achieving its
business plan.
Self-Management:
-Strives to achieve the highest levels of proficiency on all competencies and skills required to perform
the role
-Sets performance goals in the beginning of the year after discussion with the Reporting Manager and
ensures that the goals are achieved during the course of the year
-Identifies the training and development requirements for self and agrees on them with the Reporting Manager to ensure that the required training is arranged and attended
