Based on site as a senior member of the Project Management Team supporting the Project Director / Project Manager, reporting functionally to the Divisional Commercial & Business Support Director.
• Provide day to day contract administration (Main and sub-contract)
• Identification and resolution of Variations
• Identification, formulation and resolution of Claims and other entitlements under the contract
• Management of the project quantity surveying function, monthly payment certificates, invoicing and follow-up.
• Production of project status reports (commercial, contractual, financial, progress)
• Production of Monthly Budget vs cost reconciliations
• Identification and reports of deviation from planned/budget
• Interfacing with the project cost administration function
• Production of project financial forecasts
• Project risk identification and mitigation planning
• Interfacing and support the project planning function
• Implementation of Formal project control processes
• Manages the project cost control system, consolidates and reports on same
• Provides support in terms of data, consolidation and reporting on project productivity and improvement initiatives.
• Contribute to the overall management of the project supporting the project Director/Manager
• Contribute to the overall management of business supporting the Commercial and Business Support Directors
• Provide training on various aspects of the described functions
Previous Experience
• Role as Senior Contracts Engineer/Commercial Engineer/Project Controls Engineer on significant infrastructure projects
• Knowledge of and experience of administering contracts under various forms of contracts (FIDIC, NEC, Client specific)
• Demonstrated contractual claims success
• Experience in the use of sophisticated resource based budgeting and control systems
• Knowledge of WBS report structures
