CH2M HILL MENA Indirect Procurement Specialist – Abu Dhabi, UAE

Our MENA Indirect Procurement Specialist career path provides you with a ground floor opportunity be a part of the MENA component of our new global indirect procurement organization. Our indirect procurement organization supports the internal operations of the Company.
You will be a member of a global indirect procurement team principally supporting local and regional indirect procurement activity within MENA, . Our MENA Indirect Procurement Specialist supports sourcing and transactional purchasing duties associated with Tier 3 (value add) and Tier 4 (tactical) suppliers. The Indirect Procurement Specialist also supports global Category Managers and Tier 1 (strategic) and Tier 2 (preferred) sourcing and procurement activity.
The ideal candidate will have specific sourcing and procurement experience in one or more indirect procurement spend categories including Accounting, Facilities, Fleet, Human Resources, Information Technology, Marketing, Software, Telephony and Travel.
You will work within newly established procurement systems, policies and procedures for indirect procurement throughout the region. You will be responsible for achieving defined annual cost savings by utilizing all levers of the assigned indirect spend categories such as rate (price paid), service level agreement, rationalization, demand management, and compliance management.
Our MENA Indirect Procurement Specialist position:
Reports to the Regional Indirect Procurement Manager MENA
Is principally responsible for indirect procurement sourcing and transactions, throughout the Middle East
Uses superior interpersonal communications skills to effectively interface with managers and functional partners at all levels of the organization
Effectively plans and leads sourcing and negotiation strategy. Negotiates or manages the negotiation of contract terms and conditions, pricing, service levels, and performance standards to meet desired outcomes
Continually searches out new sourcing opportunities to maintain competitive advantage and achieve significant cost savings and cost avoidance through creativity and use of effective supply chain management techniques
Performs spend visibility and analysis, sourcing, contract management, supplier performance management, and procurement activities within the Ariba Spend Management Suite and Oracle Purchasing system
Performs savings tracking, and reports realized savings on a continuous base; ensures realized savings tie back to departmental budgets
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, finance, management, or accounting, or 6 years of progressive experience
Demonstrated results in a regional or global supply environment
Proven skills in all phases of supply chain management including source selection, contract negotiation, procurement, administration, performance management and closeout of complex procurement agreements
