Zacapa was born in 1954 in Tegucigalpa, Honduras, and was raised in the San Francisco Bay Area. He is trilingual. Starting an acting career, Zacapa most notably played the role of Detective Taylor in the 1995 David Fincher film ''Seven''. He has worked steadily, amassing a number of television credits and a role in ''Up Close and Personal''.
