Whether Brandon Abila was bored or simply just suffering from an extreme case of the munchies, the 17-year-old decided to steal an ice cream truck in Odessa, Texas, on Monday night.
Officers came upon the stolen vehicle when it was blocking an alley. As police approached the truck, Abila jumped out and fled the scene, disregarding the officers’ yelling at him to stop.
Abila’s foot chase ended at Odessa College, where he was arrested; though, he said another male also took place in the truck theft.
The teen was taken to Ector County Jail and charged with evading police, unauthorized use of a vehicle and possession of marijuana.
Next time, we hope he’ll consider something less extreme to satisfy his munchies.
