The cleaning lady for a family in Nokomis, Florida got quite the surprise when she arrived at the home on Monday morning. After noticing an open kitchen window, she investigated the house. She called police when she found a man sound asleep on the homeowners’ bed.
When officers arrived, the man, identified as Dion Davis, 29, was still fast asleep on the bed. A bag of stolen jewelry sat beside him. According to police, Davis didn’t even wake up when the officers arrived. They took the opportunity to snap the above picture for evidence, making sure to include the bag with his ill-gotten non-gains. Officers eventually woke Davis, and arrested him for burglary of an unoccupied dwelling.
According to a search of the Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office website, Davis remains in custody on $10,000 bond, and is scheduled for arraignment on October 3. No word on whether he’s sleeping quite as well on the jail’s beds.
