So... where do I live? I live in the Philippines at the moment (and for the rest of my living life, actually—since 09/27/01). I don't really ought to complain and bluster about my current situation here in this country; mostly it's the mediocre quality of life that ruins it. Well, need not worry. This country is in a very good state despite all this fuss. And thankfully I still eat three times a day and have some occasional snacks; and if we could fancy, we head to the nearest mall and eat stuff at the cheapest restaurant in the vicinity (in our case, McDonalds and a fast food chain called "Jollibee"). In general, life here is great if you're used to it. But politics here are terrible (here we go again). If you've been checking the news lately, you might be aware that China and my country have a heating dispute about ''South China Sea/West Philippine Sea''. We can't settle the matters because of a terrible, corrupt government, which consists mostly of greedy politicians and a few undedicated fools. Filipinos reading this will understand, I'm quite certain.

How I got myself into writing? It's a very long story, actually, but I'll summarize it for clarity's sake. Five years ago, my teacher asked me to write an essay about a dead relative that I love and look up the most. I wrote about my grandfather, who died of an illness in 2005. I submitted the 5-paragraph essay to her (is stuff that short can be called an essay?) and monotonously remarked that she liked it (although I didn't see it on her face when she read it—she had that unforgettable look of embarrassment and disappointment). She said I was good enough, just in need of honing. Since then, at school days, she would call me forth—in the middle of the class—and put me in a room with boarded windows (creepy, I know) to write stuff along with a few selected students. So that's when my voyage to writing began. It was a long and tiring journey, and occasionally depressing, I'm glad I made it this far.

How I got myself into creepypastas? As most say, because of ''Slenderman''. It all started about three years ago, way back then when I was a small-time knob. I was browsing [http://9gag.com 9GAG], a humor site, when I encountered this odd, spooky post about Slendy creeping around an unspecified town—and at night. There were CCTV shots of him lurking at sidewalks and hiding among the trees, just being your usual Slendy creep. Unnerved, but somehow curious, I searched the comments section. And that's when I first met the word "creepypasta". Of course, I searched who Slendy was, and... well, what happens next is so predictable I think I don't need to reel off every website that I visited in search of Slendy's mysterious identity, and creepypasta in general. The first website that I visited is, of course, Creepypasta Wiki, then Creepypasta.com, then MrCreepyPasta's YouTube channel, and the long list goes on.

I skimmed through these websites, finding myself more fascinated and more hooked as I read creepy stuff (other than Slenderman fanfics), and was fairly addicted to begin with. But what stood out was Creepypasta Wiki. I registered to CPW, first as "-TheRuckus-" (then changed it to RuckusQuantum just to get rid of those stupid dashes, but that's long after all this) and attempted to write a short pasta titled "The Black Candles". As long-timers here, including me (now), might have seen coming, it was eventually deleted, due to it not meeting the goddamn Quality Standards. I was saddened by its deletion, blindly believing it was well-written and good (enough to be a troll), but I didn't resort to vocal violence—I mostly kept myself shut about it, moved on, tried to learn the basics of writing a creepypasta, and at last had gotten the grip of it. I'm still trying to write creepypastas (and a novella; my ego can't take any more oppression) and as of now I'm in pursue to achieve something ambitious: ''writing for a website''.

They tell me I had a really bad sense of grammar and plot-development before, about two years ago, but now it's 97% gone. I appreciate their efforts to mentor me.
