The Gregory O’Donoghue International Poetry Competition comes from the Munster Literature Centre and is open until November 30th.

The award is for a single poem. The winner will receive €1,000, a week’s residency at the Tyrone Guthrie Centre, and publication in Southword journal. They will also have an opportunity to read at the Cork International Poetry Festival in February (including travel costs of up to €600, food and hotel accommodation for the four days of the festival).

Second prize is €500, third is €250, and ten runners-up will each have their poems published in Southword and receive a fee of €30.

Entry Fee:  €5 per poem or €20 per batch of five.
