Street photography is a wonderful genre of photography in which the photographer captures candid moments of people's day-to-day lives, often in public places. It documents society and focuses on extracting the extraordinary from ordinary moments that happen around us 24/7. In its truest form, there's no manipulation or staging, it's honest in every way and scenes are typically not posed. Technical aspects like, for example, sharpness, become less significant than the story told.

Enter Street Photography London, a non-profit collective and curated website, founded by photographer Nicholas Goodden aka Nico, showcasing the best street photography London has to offer from Hackney to Richmond and Southwark to Camden. It not only features his portfolio but also those of our capital's best contemporary street photographers as well as up-and-coming ones.

It's believed to be the first collective of its kind exclusively dedicated to the genre in the Big Smoke. Featured in The Huffington Post and Olympus Magazine, it recently scooped the top prize at the International Street Photography Awards' Street Photo of the Year 2014, and all within just three months of its launch.
