Bollywood actor Salman Khan is again in news and not for a filmy reason. He is back in news as he had to appear before a court on Friday in connection with an 18-year-old blackbuck poaching case, and pleaded "not guilty". In this blog topic by CRB Tech Reviews we bring you the entire update.

The 51-year-old actor, while answering to a question on religion done by the court, said that he’s a Hindu and Muslim both; as he is a Bharatiya.

Salman and his Hum Saath-Saath Hain co-stars Saif Ali Khan, Neelam Kothari, Sonali Bendre and Tabu, were all pleaded "not guilty" in the said case in a Jodhpur court.

The actors were present in the court to have their statements recorded before the court of Chief Judicial Magistrate (CJM) Dalpat Singh Rajpurohit.

During the session of hearing on Friday, Salman replied to about 65 questions asked by the court owing to the allegations made by the prosecution witnesses.

Salman and other celebs also replied to a number of general questions like their names, father's name, age, residential address and religion.

To one such question with regard to his religion, Salman, the son of popular screenwriter Salim Khan and Sushila Charak, said that he is a Hindu and Muslim both. He’s a Bharatiya. He also stated in English that he is an Indian.

On being asked about the allegations levelled by the prosecution, the stars pleaded "not guilty".

Salman claims in Jodhpur court that he couldn't go out for poaching due to security reasons, especially in the late hours of the day or at night.

He said that he used to be very busy in the shooting by the end in the night he used to go to sleep as he was very tired. In the night due to security reasons, he never went out. He denied all the charges. He said that he has been falsely intimated, in his statement to the court.

The next hearing in the same poaching case is slated to on February 15 in the court of Chief Judicial Magistrate here when Salman Khan's counsel is expected to produce defence witnesses which will counter the prosecution.

Salman’s advocate said that they would produce defence witnesses to counter the prosecution as all the allegations are false. Saraswat said that all the charges against his client are false.

The CJM court earlier told the Bollywood celebrities to appear on January 25th to record blackbuck case statement, but the stars, which included Salman and Saif, could not make themselves available on that day giving security reasons.

The court then postponed the matter for Friday.

The blackbuck case against all the film stars is pending since 1998, but it could not come for hearing and remained halted due to several appeals and revisions in the higher court in other connected matters.

Relatives of the film stars, who included Salman's sister Alvira and his bodyguard Shera, were also present during the court session.

Salman was also accused of carrying and using illegal weapons, but recently the CJM court acquitted him of those charges.

Let’s wait and see what happens in the above case. Even the fans are eagerly waiting for Salman Khan marriage news.
