Rylee wanted to go see the walking bridge at the Tempe Center for the Arts. The girls are planning a double date and I think this is where it is going to end. We discovered it ourselves a while back at an Academy concert with the band a few years ago.

Britt said they were going to go really quickly and be back in time for FHE.

She thought she knew where she was going.

Well, she was WRONG!

I got a call a half hour after she left asking where it was. They could see 'A' mountain. They were on 48th Ave and Broadway! So I turned them around and got them on the right track and hung up. They had to know their way back after that.

NO!

About 45 minutes later I got another call from Britt, frantic with worry because she was lost again. I had her scout around for street names and she was on 38th Ave and Thomas! (my daughter has no sense of direction!) I tried to milk her home again but this old lady has a problem. I am left handed and often times I think my left is my right because it is the right hand to use and I have to stop and think about what I mean. So I inadvertently sent her the wrong way...which we fixed a few blocks later!

So about 40 minutes later (and staying on the phone with them the whole time) we got them back into Mesa and she knew where to go from there. The next day both girls were laughing about their big 3 hour adventure!

The moral of the story is don't send a blonde out driving without a GPS! Trouble ensues!

That and mom needs to learn her left and right directions!
